Yeah... the video games, the most entertaining thing these days, like... you turn on your console/PC and play your favorite game for hours and hours, yeah... that's right, video games are REALLY entertaining, you start playing, go shooting and killing things, solving puzzles, platforms that kind of stuff that are in video games, have you ever wondered who was the FIRST ever video game console? Well.. It was Odyssey, it wasn't that kind of consoles we know today, if you look up in Google, you will see that Odyssey was REALLY  the first ever video game console, *ahem* well, going back to game play, Odyssey wasn't like the consoles we know today, it was a blue screen with cursors that you could move with the controller, but... what about the games? Guess what, the games were overlays on your screen, papers you could put into your TV and each of them had their specific manual (See AVGN video about Odyssey), it had lots of games like... Simon Says, Ghost House, Cat & Rat etc... it was very simple for that era, because video games have never been created, and today, consoles are like... common to see in your friends house, your cousin's house, but in that time, it was revolutionary! Nobody had an idea for creating something so entertaining, that's why, in the years of today, if we see an console, let's say "Thank You" for the creators of Odyssey, the first console in the world

The Odyssey was a legend. It's games were basic and the whole setup was equivalent to a souped up Pong console. But alas, it was the first gaming console and began gaming as a full-fledged industry.

I actually played the Odyssey a few times. I lacked the covers you put onto the screen, but it was fascinating anyways.

I never saw one in person but I do remember commercials for them. They would also have it in the Sears Christmas catalog next to Atari.
