So, as most Vizzed users are probably doing right now, I have been saving my hard earned Viz for quite a while, and after earning the 5000 birthday bonus I finally was able to buy the Test Ticket! But, I have issues...

What I thought it would do:

A) Give me access to consoles not available to whole site (i.e., Dreamcast, Playstation, CD-I)
B) Early access to new site features and
C) Give me a warm, fuzzy feeling for finally claiming my sought after prize.

What it does (at least, for me...)

A) Gives me the same amount of access to consoles (I wasn't counting on it covering Playstation, and I already knew that Dreamcast required a controller, which I don't have, but CD-I? This was a console BUILT for computers! At least, I think it was, I'm not too keen on it...)
B) Site features and priviledges remain the same (I don't know if I have to raise my CP or something, but I didn't see any other features besides the ones I had from the start.)
C) Gives me a confused, flustered feeling for wasting all of my Viz.

I decided to refund it and save up some more, so if someone could clarify what I'm doing wrong or if it just works that way, that'd be lovely.

Thank you in advance!!

Does exactly what it says on the tin, grants access to beta features not yet available to the entire board... Your milage may vary. as you have found out

Consoles like the Playstation are no longer beta-only, and there's an item for them in the Item Shop, but it costs 4x as much.
Hope that answers your question, and have fun saving up that Viz

A.) No, it's not for giving you access to those games. There's a different item for that in the item shop (worth 50,000 Viz I think).
B.) Yep, that's pretty much the main use of beta test ticket. However, we currently don't have any stuff in beta that also need a beta test ticket to access.
C.) Good choice on getting the refund. you might as well just save the Viz up for the console items.

Juliet : I thought the Beta ticket did give access to Dreamcast and CD-i...
As well as Saturn and a few other systems.

Although, Dreamcast might have been released at this time...

Vanelan : Yep it did, but I think the thread maker purchased the ticket when those systems were already out in the public, making the ticket pretty much useless for him.
