I also don't have the notification for windows 10, the few people who don't have it got their computers within the past year. Its armagenagon I'm telling you, as soon as people update to windows 10 they will see there PC die. My anti-virus is protecting me from the evil windows 10 update.

I signed up when I got the free upgrade notification. Even if I hate it, I can simply downgrade it back to good ol' Windows 7. I think it's awesome that they're allowing you to play XBOX ONE games on Windows 10 computers, but what I'm really excited for is the HoloLens. I don't know if I'll buy it or if it's worth it, so I'll wait and see how people compare it with SteamVR and Oculus Rift.

I went ahead and reserved my copy of Windows 10, however I have automatic updates turned off. The offer is good for a year anyway, so you don't have to install it right away. I would advise, strongly advise against installing it right away unless you are doing so just to test it. Windows is known to have bugs when an operating system releases. I would let other users deal with all the headaches and wait till a more stable release comes out. Windows media player was crap so yea, VLC is a much better choice. So for the mean time I will reserve my copy, but it will not get installed till Microsoft updates it into a stable operating system.

I can't wait til next month. At least they are going to download it to my machine. Good thing they brought back the start menu. And thing is, since I have Windows 7 Ultimate, I'm going to get Windows 10 Professional. I always liked the professional operating systems more as they tend to be more stable. The only operating system that never gave me any trouble was Windows 2000 Professional. And I think I understand why. Downtime I would think would be akin to a 'death sentence' for businesses. A professional operating system is stable enough, I believe to not have downtime. But then the professional operating systems by Microsoft are probably closer to the NT architecture and I heard NT is probably the most stable Windows operating system.

I've been apart of the insider program for a few months now and I can say it's a vast improvement. The start menu is back, the interface is very functional, and I haven't run into any major program compatibility issues.

I won't be allowed to change my operating system until I get my own computer, so for now I'm stuck with Windows 7. I'd rather use Windows 7 than Windows 8 though, so I'm pretty patient to get Windows 10. I've told my parents a few times that once I get my own laptop, I'd like to pick my own laptop with Windows 10.

I'm definitely going to wait a couple years until I do, that way Windows 10 will be less expensive by the time I get my own laptop. I probably won't be allowed to get my own laptop until the year I finish high school anyway I'm pumped for Windows 10 and from what I've seen it's amazing!

I still cant figure out how to get this. Ive known about reserving Windows 10 for about a week now but I can't get it at all.
