2.If a Pokemon faints, it's considered dead, and must be permanently boxed, or released.
3.Nickname every Pokemon.

You can add your own rules to make it more challenging. Good luck, and leave your response.

I would say gold/silver/crystal, since most of the routes repeat Pokemon so you won't get what you need, the difficulty ramps up fast (**** you MILTANK), and the training is far from decent overall. Heck, I can barely beat the game normally, much less on a nuzlocke.

I agree, I can't beat HGSS, because of the stupid grinding. I didn't find Whitney to be hard, because I just used Dragon Rage with my Game Corner Dratini. I thought Morty was very hard. Because of the Gengar, which packed extremely powerful special attack, Shadow Ball, and Hypnosis.

X and Y are some of the hardest games to Nuzlocke without the Exp.Share. Without it, X and Y becomes significantly harder. It has some of the toughest trainers ever. The double Swords Dance Lucario with Korrina, Frank and Sly, and Siebold, who has a Gyarados with a competitive battling moveset. And grinding is also a pain in the butt. You fight against little Pokemon for hours, to get to the level of the gym leader. Have you ever heard of Marriland? That really good Nuzlocker, that made his own variant called the Wedlocke? He had 35 deaths by the end of the Wedlocke! Although, X and Y with a Exp.Share is a cakewalk, easier than FRLG and BW.

I found White 2 (or Black 2 I guess) to be the hardest. I added some rules to the wedlocke run (nuzlocke variant) I did, such as using no X-items and limiting myself to 2 healing items/fight. It's even harder if you can get your hands on challenge mode.

I'm not saying I'm the nuzlocke expert, but that was the only one I did (I've done like 40 or so ) in which I had more than 25 deaths. I was one away from a full death box.

Second hardest would be HG/SS. The start of the game is super easy, but the trainer levels suddenly go from 20 to 30 around the Radio Tower part. After that they get even higher. The Kanto region especially is really brutal.
