Hello everyone! I have had the original PS3 Fat since they first came out, and I have loved it every minute of playtime sense. There have been many games that I really liked and enjoyed, so it's hard to say which one I would classify as my favorite. So here's what I'm going to do; I'm going to give my top favorite PS3 games, and then I would like to know what you think of those games as well as know what your top PS3 games are.

1) Borderlands
2) Bioshock
3) Resident Evil 5

bass player 9 : Unfortunately the beginning of your post was a little difficult to understand. I would like to know what you were trying to say, so if you could reword it that would be awesome. As for your favorite PS3 game, I own the Last of Us and played it for about 2 hours. It started so slow for me, so I had issues continuing to play. I still want to go back and play it the rest of the way through because I know it gets better from all of the reviews and word of mouth I have heard saying how good it is. Plus I am not one to let games go unfinished.

Kaneki_Ken : Out of your top 5 games, there are two that I haven't played and one that I have never heard if. These two are Watch Dogs and Sleeping Dogs. The game I am referring to as never hearing of is Sleeping Dogs. I'd like to find out more about these games because there can never be enough games to play. As for FIFA 15, I played this game a few times with my cousin and it wasn't too bad of a game. It is definitely very different than the games I am used to playing, but once I got semi used to it I had a pretty good time. That being said I have only ever scored 1 goal, so I like many other sports games more than FIFA. They are easier to get used to, so I am able to score a lot more which makes the game play much more enjoyable.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Well, I never actually owned my very own PS3 but I have been to my brother's house to play it and that wasn't long ago. I really enjoyed Battlefield 4, Grand Theft Auto IV, and probably Black Ops II with the DLC for Zombies he had. I mostly liked the last one with the dlc of being in Alcatraz.

RetroLatios64 : I have spent many hours playing Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies. I only really played on one map in particular called Resolution 1295- Borough also known as Buried, and the mode I like to play is Grief. I like this map over all of the others because it is not too small and not too big. I love the different tools that are available on this map as well. The steam machine is a personal favorite where when activated it catapults zombies away from you. This is extremely helpful when an enormous amount of zombies are after you. The only downside is that you don't get any points when the steam machine kills the zombies that it catapults. Alcatraz is fun, it's just a little more difficult than the one I mentioned above.

ThanatosUnraveld : I can't believe I forgot about Fallout 3 and Skyrim (Both made by the same people). I really love both of those games. They are so much fun, and they are the type of games where you can go pretty much anywhere you want and do pretty much whatever you want. I still haven't played Red Dead Redemption yet, but I have heard a lot about it and it seems like I would enjoy the game. Hopefully I can get around to it when I actually finish the many games that I have had for over a year that I haven't even started yet. Plus finishing other games like Fallout 3 and The Last of Us. The same goes for the rest of the games you mentioned. I have really been wanting to play those games as well, but with so many other things going on I barely have time to do so. Not only that; I am broke, so it makes playing new/other video games extremely difficult.

There are two very popular game franchises that I haven't ever played, but I would like to as soon as possible are Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. I have briefly played one of the Final Fantasy's, but I didn't have a good experience with it. That was about 10 years ago, so I want to give it another chance.

ThanatosUnraveld : Sorry for getting back to you so late. Unfortunately I don't understand the first part of you first sentence, but everything after that is fine. So based off of what I do understand I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has games that need to be played, but haven't had the time to get around to them. I'm the type that likes to play one game for a long period of time with minimal changes in the games I choose to play other than the main one I am working on. Being this way makes it really difficult to try other games, so I get into the situation I am in now where I have 3+ games I have yet to play. I will get around to them eventually though. Oh, and now I have games on here that I want to work on as well. Probably the greatest problem to have though, never ending list of video games to play.

wolf742 : if I REALLY knew what I meant in the first sentence I would of told ya but I don't remember what I meant must of been somethin bout grasshoppers or fluff festival. But ya I have a lot of games I spend a real long time on then I don't finish then mainly cuz I get wore out on them example Final Fantasy 8 and Nocturne, both great games (well I think Final Fantasy 8 is great...................cept the magic system) but I played them fro so long that I got drained and haven't finished em. And I think I've gotten to the point with games that I haven't even played: I'm trying to see how long I can go without playing them, you know get a little dust on it. :p

Kaneki_Ken : I will definitely have to do that. There are so many games that I have yet to play it actually saddens me. I really need to get a newer model PS3 because the original Fat that I have isn't able to run games like Borderlands on split-screen, and my girlfriend and I love playing games together. It's a major bummer when you are playing a game you love and the graphics are extremely glitchy and it freezes after about 20 minutes of game play. My girlfriend had a newer PS3 that she brought with her when she moved in with me/my parents, and we switched over to it when we realized Borderlands wasn't going to work on mine. Unfortunately about 2 weeks later it died on us, so we had to go back to mine. It has been really frustrating and with a lack of income on both of our parts plus having to figure out how to pay for college, there is no way to get an upgrade anytime soon.

Sorry for the rant, just kind of poured out of me.

Hopefully once I am able to beat or play all of the games that I still need to play I will be able to venture on to different games such as those that you have suggested.

I bought the PS3 for two reasons:
1)  The Last of Us
2)  Heavy Rain

and it was completely worth it.

Midtwilight : I really need to go back and finish The Last of Us. I don't think I gave it enough of a chance, especially since I keep hearing about how awesome it is. Now, Heavy Rain I have never heard of. The name sounds pretty cool, so I will have to check it out. Plus I like to check out games that other people have mentioned through this thread. It makes my games list broader and have more variety.

I don't have that many PS3 games, but I like Final Fantasy 13 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. I've played a handful of others, but those are the ones I spent the most time on.

eclipse9508 : I am still wanting to go back and play the Final Fantasy games because they are definitely the type of games I like to play. I just had one bad game play, and I never tried again. I was around 12 or 13, so maybe it was because I was too impatient to keep trying and possibly to inexperienced at the time to figure out where to go. As for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, that one isn't my favorite. I am more of a Black Ops person myself, mostly because of the Zombie feature that comes with them. I recommend trying Skyrim and Fallout 3. They can both be played on multiple systems, but they are amazing PS3 games nonetheless.

I would take Resident Evil 6 over 5 any day.  I got so frustrated with the partners horrible " oh, let me run in front of you so I can get shot in the back of the head the entire game" way she was made, and 6 actually had zombies instead of Las Plagas.  I love all of the Dragon Ball games, and currently playing Xenoverse.  Very different from the others, yet similar in many ways, and Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast 2 came with a movie.  That one is always fun to play.  I do love shooting zombies with my wife in Black Ops 2, so that would be a top pick for me.  The Grand Theft Auto games were always awesome and usually a great pick for me.  I wish I could include the Final Fantasy series here, but I really couldn't get into anything past 8.  FFX was ok, FFX-2 was "WHY!?!?!?!" Never played 11.  12 was...ok, and started on 13, but just cant get into it.  I would have to say my pick would be...

mncymk : My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVE the Borderlands games even with the issues we've had with them. I completely forgot about Skyrim, but it is definitely a favorite as well as Fallout 3. As for the Grand Theft Auto games, it has been difficult for me to get into to them. I definitely can't play them without using the star erase cheat and some of the weapon cheats or else I would die so much it wouldn't be worth playing. I wouldn't mind going back and trying again with the one that I own sometime, but that will be after I play and beat some of the other games that I have had for over two years and haven't played yet (BioShock: Infinite, Infamous 2, and God of War: Ascension). I just remembered some of my other favorite games: The Ratchet and Clank Series, God of War, and Infamous. I have been wanting to play Destiny ever since it came out, but still haven't had the chance to. I can't be certain, but I think I played Dead Island 2 once, but not for very long because it was my best friends game.
