Over the years, I have become used to the idea that I do not "exist". In a sense, I have gotten so used to being antisocial, that I honestly feel as if who I am doesn't really matter. Now, although this isn't true, as each human being and living creature on this planet has a purpose, I feel as if my purpose will not increase tenfold due to being at a place where I can truly feel at peace and call home. After doing some in depth browsing of this website (as well as following all the most 1) As I have typed beforehand, I am a retro enthusiast, going as far back as ColicoVision and Magnavox Odyssey and even further if I can get my hands on it. However, I am unable to play these consoles on a regular basis, as I only own about four consoles to begin with (Atari 2600, NES, Sega Genesis, and Playstation). 2) I also have a deep love for SCP and Creepypasta. The idea of unseen horrors that could possibly exist (although they don't... or do they?) really intrigues me and often gives me a desire to pursue such mysteries. This also includes trying to get close up content of Area 51, uncovering the paranormal, and a deeper study of viruses (both real and computer oriented). 3) Along with my many interests, comes a few that people frown upon (given my age, gender, and the fact that I'm a human being), these interests are known only as MLP and Furries. Now, don't get me wrong, although I have a deep respect and fascination with MLP and furries, I simply lack the money and resources to partake in such fandoms. I have seen a few episodes of MLP, no idea why it fascinates me, but it does. I have been to a few furry conventions, mainly to just do some photography. But in all seriousness, they are not a fandom of mine, just one more thing I find interesting. 4) Outside of my interests, here is some more "advanced" information to add to who I am. I am 22yrs old (as of 2014, will turn 23 this November in 2015), I am 6ft tall (182cm), I weigh around 300lbs (136kg), I live in the state of Nevada (USA), I have what is known as the "INTJ Personality" (at least according to the quiz/test I took), I try to be as proper as possible when typing (however, I do accept some errors, such as grammar, as just something unavoidable. I will often go back and try to remove any spelling errors though). Well, that would be all for now. I honestly have no idea what else to share with you all, so if there is anything on your mind that you wish to ask me, feel free to ask it here or in a PM. Please remember, my PMs are greatly limited due to my status. So if you want, you can always ask for my email. Other than that, here are a few remaining interests of mine: 1) Anime/Manga 2) Comic Books (not so much anymore) 3) Zombie movies (sure, they're all kind of repeating each other, but I still find them highly contagious) 4) Photography 5) Digital music creation 6) Poetry (I used to write it, now I just read it) Well, once again, that is all for now. Take care, be safe, see you around. 1) As I have typed beforehand, I am a retro enthusiast, going as far back as ColicoVision and Magnavox Odyssey and even further if I can get my hands on it. We meet again. So since I'm currently invading 1/3 of your threads, I might as well offer a digital handshake and warn you that if you post a lot about games, you'll be seeing a lot of me.
Indeed there is much retro appreciation around here, to the point that many of us don't even play modern games at all. The main benefit of this is that we get to find so many treasures that we missed on our first go through the old days of gaming (you know, back when they were the new days of gaming. Geezers like myself remember that). In regard to your facts about yourself: I too love retro games, but my passion is for games in general, or more specifically, "real" games. In other words, games that merit bearing the title "video game", which to me is not just any ol' game. Indeed, many a game these days are released that have no business in my home, nor any serious gamer's home in my opinion. Most of these games are mobile games that are made for a quick buck (I've yet to find an infinite runner that could earn my respect for example, or a color matching game that I respect, barring a few decent ones from back in the day for consoles). Now there are some true games on mobile such as the Zenonia series (a 16bit-esque hardcore Action RPG with the item/stat system of a straight up RPG), but sadly that market is mostly dominated by swipe and tap games. I had more to say, but after that unintended rant, I forgot it. xD Anyway, welcome home, friend!
