What browser are you using and do you know if it is the latest version?
Have you tried it on both JavaBoy Emulator and Vizzed AEPgb Emu?
Sometimes if it runs slow on one it will run better on the other.
Apart from that it might be either your internet connection isn't fast enough or that your PC is doing too much at once like automatic updates or something.
That's all I can think of right now, the only other thing might be check to make sure your Java is current.

I was experiencing some of the same problems the other day and I was instructed to make sure that I had the latest version of Java so you may want to make sure you do the same. Also if your using just the regular Internet Explorer browser you may want to give Firefox a try. I went to that some time ago before I found this site and it runs way faster that the regular browser. Good Luck!
