University is where you go and study to get a bachelor degree, a masters, a PhD or something equivalent

As you might guess, my ears were filled with rock music during my bachelor degrees. When I went back home from that exchange trip I took after college I discovered this talk radio that had classic rock during the evening. I just loved Scorpions and songs like Big City Lights and Hurricane.

During my first bachelor I also had the control over the radio station when I was working at night so I would put it to the region's rock station and enjoy The Killers (When you were young, all these things that I've done), Green Day (American Idiot), Foo Fighters (Pretender, Hero), Franz Ferdinand (Take me out) and even groups I didn't like at first like System of a Down (BYOB, Toxicity). Other groups included Billy Talent (Devil in a Midnight Mass; the group rocks in concert but the singer looks... effeminate), Sum 41 (Pieces, Fat Lip) and Weezer (Beverly Hill, Say it ain't so).

That period also included a lot of French rock from Quebec. Anik Jean (Lucifer, Mon chéri) prove once again my theory that girls have nothing to envy when it comes to rock. Groups like Les Pistolets Roses (Magané, Avant de mourir), Vulgaires Machins (Jamais assez, Puits sans fonds), les Trois accords (with their silly lyrics like Hawaïenne, Saskatchewan) have all pleased my ears. Other artists like Dumas (Gré des saisons) and Marie Mai (C'est toi) also sung good songs.

University also contained an unusual amount of non-rock (or video game) music. That's because it was the time I found love; the first song that came to mind was Beyoncé and Jay-Zed's "Crazy in love". Honey loved Norah Jones, and I love listening to "Come away with me"; it reminds me of our first trip to his native country. Bob Sinclair also had good songs like Love generation and World Hold On, which I first heard during his first trip to Quebec's famous "Sugar Shacks". Finally it was the time when Kate Perry (I kissed a girl) started he rise to fame, while Timbaland (The way I are) was finally the main voice.

There was also a lot of dance and pop on the French side, mostly because during my second bachelor degree I was working at the convenience store where I couldn't control the music - I could hear I kiss a girl 5 times per night. Kate Ryan, famous for her covers, was the main one; it took me so long before I could find her name and songs! Toute première fois, les Divas du dancing, dans tes yeux and libertine were some of her best songs. I listen to them for hours when I finally found out who she was. There were also artists like Marie-Pierre Arthur (Pourquoi, Droit devant) and IMA (Le temps des fleurs). Special mention to Lisa Laflamme and her hilarious Ma vie c'est dla marde. I was laughing to tears the first time I saw it (in a karaoke, so I read the lyrics).

So, what are some of the memorable songs from when you were in university, undergraduate or graduate?

I'm closing this for it being too similar to other threads, specifically the "Soundtrack of your college" one. Theses series of threads are all a little too similar, Janus, please be more careful in the future.
