so, how's the wifey doing? Any contractions yet? I know it's still a bit early for her but it's possible she could have the baby any day now.

My wife is 5 days away (next Thursday is the due date) so we're pretty much just playing the waiting game. She sleeps a lot because she doesn't sleep well at night. According to my mother the baby isn't allowed to come out until Sunday because they're at a wedding today and won't be home until late tonight.... we'll see how that goes

Hospitals up here won't admit you into labor and delivery until you're 4+ or the water has broken. Before both of those happen it could be hours or days before the baby comes and you can't always afford to have a bed tied up for 48 hours straight.

Not to burst your bubble or anything .... but until her water breaks you're likely not going to the hospital.

It's sort of a case by case thing.... you can be 3-5 centimeters dilated and not contracting.... or you can be 3-5 and contracting like crazy....

Every day after the due date is tough though =/. You're all psyched up for that specific date and so often you don't get there or go quite a while after it. I hope for her sake the baby comes sooner than later. The longer she waits the harder delivery is likely to be.
