I almost only buy my games in a physical form, unless it's for PC. I feel like the physical games will always be there, but in 20-40 years steam and consoles online services might get discontinued, making it impossible to download your digital games.
You can of course lose your physical games in some ways, but then it's often your fault. The only reason I buy digital games for PC is because that's often cheaper than ordering the physical games in Sweden.

Also, digital games often doesn't have a value once you've bought them, as they're locked to you're account. If my life ever changes in the future, and my games won't mean anything to me anymore, I can always sell them or give them to my kids and grandchildren or something.

The future is also the reason why I choose consoles over computers, as you probably won't save every computer and operative system you've owned, and games gets outdated and might not run on future machines. But if you save your consoles, there's a small chance they'll still work in 20 years!

Almost all of my games are physical disc, its better than wasting hard drive space and its cheaper. But the only digital games i have are from "Games with Gold" or if its a great game on sale.

Well, if it is a PC game, I much rather prefer digital - I don't have a disc drive!

If it's a console game and it's a AAA title, I would easily choose physical over digital. I like to have a physical product, it makes me feel like my money went towards something with value.

Otherwise, if they're cheap games like say Minecraft, I would just go digital.

I prefer digital games, while CD games are good. There are too many disavantages, 1) Cost(Not much of a flaw) 2) Breaking replacing, and losing. With a digital copy I won't have to worry about reputting in the disk or any of the above.

Physical. While at this point, I tend not to care whether I have a physical or software version of the game, one side of me likes to stay old-school and keep it in old reliable form. But hey, at least the reasoning isn't because I think digital copies can be unreliable.
