Welcome back to another thready theory about Fnaf 3! This time, we will talk about one of the most famous characters in Fnaf history, Bonnie the bunny. So, Bonnie is usually the first one to become active on any nights, right? He appears in almost every Fnaf and Death Minigames except for one... Five Nights at Freddy's 3. What on earth happened to Bonnie? We have Phantom Freddy, Phantom Chica, Phantom Foxy, Phantom Balloon Boy, Phantom Mangle, and Phantom Puppet. But, no Phantom Bonnie? Wat D:. Instead, we have a complete new Animatronic that shows up, Spring Trap.

When Spring Trap was revealed for the first time, many fans thought that this was a 'Golden Bonnie', but I disagreed with that. Then, after I saw that Bonnie was absent on the third game, I was quite surprised. Well, my theory is that Spring Trap was the original Bonnie back in FredBear's Family Diner, along with FredBear (or perhaps, Golden Freddy).

Please don't tell me that Scott 'forgot' that he exists, there's no way he could do that. Bonnie has been a big major antagonist in the entire series, and Scott knows that.

Actually, this isn't a theory. Springtrap IS in fact the original Bonnie from Fredbear's Diner, as you can see Springtrap next to Golden Freddy in the Fredbear's Diner minigame. Also, on the Night 6 phone call, Phone Guy calls Springtrap "Spring Bonnie". So, basically, it's already confirmed that this is the case, which is why Bonnie doesn't appear as a phantom in the 3rd game.

LunarDarkness2 : Or, it may be that Spring Trap and Bonnie are completely different. Just because they are look alike, it doesn't mean that they're related. Well, it may have been confirmed, but Bonnie could have appeared as a simple hallucination on the third game.

greenluigi : While it is true he could've appeared as a hallucination, wouldn't that just defeat the purpose of Springtrap? Think about it. I said that Phone Guy even said himself that they are basically the same. Bonnie was just based off of Spring Bonnie, just without the spring locks. So, think of it like this. Think of Springtrap being the Bonnie of Five Nights at Freddy's 3.

LunarDarkness2 : Phone Guy did say that, I know. The game would have been Five Nights at Bonnie's, then, instead of Five Nights at Freddy's 3.

greenluigi : Well, for people to know it's in the same series and timeline, you gotta keep the original name, don't you?

LunarDarkness2 : Well, yeah . If Spring Trap and Bonnie are the same, then there's a flaw about it. On the first trailer of Fnaf 3, Bonnie is present, and he's looking at the camera. You know Smike, right?  He does multiple videos about Fnaf, and he said that Spring Trap being the first Bonnie is just a theory, and it remains a mystery. I recommend Smike.

greenluigi : I do watch Smike, in fact. But I never said they were the EXACT same. I said Bonnie was based off of Spring Bonnie, as stated by Phone Guy on Night 6.
