I was playing the arcade game Sega Sonic: The Hedgehog and accidentally messed up the video and it is now squashed in the corner with no way to fix it. Pressing Escape doesn't bring up the menu either.

You are probably going to need to manually change the aspect ratio back.
Press Windows + R and copy and paste this in:

C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-301386MAME

Open default.cfg in notepad and there should be a line that says
target index="0" view="Pixel Aspect (17:15)"

or something similar.

You will want to change that to target index="0" view="Standard (4:3)"

Click save and try it again.

It may also be in the config for the specific game.
So it is likely called sonic.cfg
Check both and follow the same directions from above.
