In the nineties, I was merely a youngling that listened mostly to what my mother changed the radio station to. Most of the time, however, it consisted of whatever was on the local Alternative Rock station. Bands included Soundgarden, Blink 182, Tool, Offspring, Smashing Pumpkins, Audioslave, Papa Roach, Incubus, Candlebox, and the like.

So yeah, I was a rocker kid at heart. Although I also like some pop tracks every now and again, like Sir Mixalot's Baby Got Back (not really family friendly), Mambo #5 (cannot remember the artist), and some boy band tracks every now and again.

So that's my story with music. Thoughts?

I envy your discovery of rock at such a young age . As for the more pop music... we all make mistakes . Hell I once like NKOB

I'm not as big a 90s music fan as I am an 80s fan, but I still have a lot of love for it.

There was some great hip-hop and metal to come out of the decade (Slim, 2pac, RATM). Unfortunately there was also Limp Bizkit....

Boxia : They had a few good (tolerable?) songs, but most of them are either terrible covers (Faith) or just too aggressive for my ears to enjoy (except Break Stuff)

Most of the songs I really listen to is from either the mid 90's to mid 00's, I feel like music from that decade are true music vs. today's music because today's music sucks. Although I do listed a few post-2005 bands, but that list is extremely short because the rest of them got no rhythm, and I do listen to quite a bit of pre-1990 songs, but the biggest core of music I am interested in is from 1995 to 2003. I am a guy that hates that mainstream garbage like we have today.

So, I think music in the 1990's has the best music to my opinion.
