LunarDarkness2 : I believe he wants people to share their favorite April Fool's pranks. If that's the case then it's likely to be a duplicate since I saw at least another active tread on the subject.

On my side, I thought the Pac Man maps to be clever. It's amazing how such an old game can still find ways to renew itself.

I missed every single one of these April fool's jokes save for the Google maps one. I should have thought to go to Think Geek at the very least, but the thought never even crossed my mind.  *facepalm*

I don't know if it reeally qualifies as a 'video game'... though it might, since it does have a battle system, hm... anyway, Flight Rising, this dragon breeding/gaming website that I frequent, had a massive April Fool's day prank this year. The ENTIRE site was written in comic sans. I thought my eyes were going to fall out from trying to read anything.

They also gave out an item called Marva's Wonderous Thread, that acted as a chest. When you opened it, however, there was just another colour of thread/yarn/fiber inside, and it would open indefinitely.  Pretty colours, though. The real joke came the next day, however, when the item stopped opening for eternity, and whatever colour you'd left it on last was the colour it would stay. When you opened it again, a HORRIFICALLY ugly sweater was added to your apparel inventory. Like, blind-grandma Christmas sweater ugly kicked up an octave to neon-bright Easter colours. *shudder* Once the sweater was added, though, you could open the Marva item indefinitely again, it just wouldn't give you another item. I sold my sweater. It burnt my eyes. I kept my thread, though, because it, at least, was pretty.
