Issues with downloading

After a while of inactivity I have finally come back to get some (non-existent) nostalgia going.

Unfortunately, after doing all that I can think (including referring to the RGR help forum), I cannot download the games I wish to play. Every time I attempt to download a ROM that I haven't already, I experience crashing before the download even starts.

BUT, I can play games I have already downloaded. Yay.

So here is my question, is it possible to download games outside of the RGR and then play them with the plugin?

This is a problem that only started up last night. You're not the only one who is having problems downloading games that you didn't already have. There are MULTIPLE people (including me!)  with the problem and so far, nothing has been seen to fix it. People are looking into it, but there's no answer yet as to what the problem is, I'm sorry.  Right now you can only play the games you've already downloaded. 

I don't know about the download outside of the RGR, though. I don't think that would be allowed here, as that's really part of vizzed's whole deal, being able to play them in the browser with the RGR plug in?

It is not possible to download the ROMs from another site as far as I know. Every download in the RGR comes from the Vizzed website, and when you launch a plugin instance it checks your computer to see if you have the Vizzed ROM. It might be possible if you download a ROM and name it exactly what it's called in the Vizzed directory, though.

Have you tried completely uninstalling the plugin then installing it again? Sometimes reinstalling doesn't work.
