Ever had a disaster in the kitchen? I'm not talking about small spills or forgetting ingredients (unless it caused problems). I'm talking about burning food or blowing up the kitchen with a mess, or even burning up a house.

I had a few accidents cooking in the kitchen, usually creating stress to me. One of the worst ones I had was burning up my dinner and stove. I was cooking some steak on the stove and I was adding sesame oil so it could have a bit more flavor, accidentally spilled the container and the stove blew up in flames. Wasn't as bad as it sounds like but my stove was burnt and my dinner was basically burnt to a crisp. Lesson I learned that day, use cups for pouring oil. xP

Oh my gosh, yes yes I have. To be fair it wasn't as bad as I thought it was at the time, but it was pretty horrific for me at the time-especially since cooking is my passion. 

I was making king ranch chicken for my family, and when I went to put the chicken in the pan I completely forgot to add corn tortillas because...well I'm not sure how I managed to forget that. So it was just this big boiling mess of chicken and cheese. >.< My family still hasn't let me live it down to this day lol.

I was cooking macaroni in the microwave and it blown up! Seriously! It exploded in the machine! Another one was the macaroni was on fire when cooking on the oven! I turned it up too high by mistake and it caught on fire! What painful times that happened. Bacon has been burnt several times! I don't like black bacon!

Fortunately, only my meal was ruined and note the whole stove.

My lesson, and I suggest it to all the chefs and aspiring chefs here, always keep a lid near by to cover any flare ups. Don't be line I was that day and search after the fact. ^^;
Also (seems like I am turning this into a safety lesson), as tempting as it may be, water is not your friend in a grease fire.
Instead of testing it yourself, search YouTube. :p
