Specifically for Grand Theft Auto Games. I just recieved the Pre Order of GTA V as a gift and I really want to play it but I don't want to use my keyboard because it just sucks for games, but I don't know which would be the best for not only PC games, but the best for the Grand Theft Auto controls.

Some say XBox, some say PS3, which one should I get?

I'd recommend a logitech controller. I use the logitech f710 and it works great. It's $50, but there is a wired version for $25.
If not, I think you should use a wired xbox 360 controller. I hear wired xbox 360 controllers work better than wireless 360 or ps3 controllers for PC games if you use windows.

I would say the Xbox 360 controller is the best because it naturally plugs in to a USB port, and it has a better button layout in my opinion, especially the triggers.

I agree with the other guy on the logitech and xbox 360 controllers being some of the best ones. I personally use my wireless DS3 controller with the usb plug in. I used Motioninjoy to install the driver but then uninstalled ds3tool and used better DS3 to actually connect it. (DS3 tool blue screened my computer whereas the Better DS3 did not.) I have heard there are ways to hook up DS4 and the Xbox One controllers to the PC but I'm not sure how since I don't own either one of those yet.

scarlot : For one game, Audiosurf, I only turned the game on and went to the title screen and I saw that navigating was good so I left it alone and then I tried it with Race The Sun and I would have to say that the controls for this game with a controller are so much better than the keyboard controls. A lot more smooth and easier to handle.

zanderlex : What controller did you decide to use and thats good to hear. I know when I finally decided to hook up my controller I didn't like using the keyboard either. Unless I'm playing a FPS online. Then I prefer the mouse. Offline and TPS like GTA however the controller feels more natural and overall easier. I am glad you found a solution to your problem.
