I think it would fail because not many people have a computer or even have internet but if everyone had those thingd i think it would succeed

You should have put info for those that didn't know what it is.
This is that gamiong system that you buy games off (like the Steam system) and play games directly from the net isn't it?

It's rubbish and will never replace traditional PCs or consoles for a few reasons.
1: There are only a few countries that could support it. Parts of America, and a few Asian countries. That's all.
2: You would need high speed unlimited (or high usage) internet. Again, that only exists in a few places worldwide.
3: There will always be people that prefer having the actual game media.
4: It will not be able to be upgraded on your end. That makes it just a glorified Xbox.
5: If your internet got switched off or theere was a data surge you would be interrupted mid game.
6: It is susceptible to lag, despite what OnLive say.
7: Expect server downtime for maintenance. For example, World of Warcraft is down for a few hours every single week, OnLive would be no different.

All up, it isn't what they say it is and is just another gimmick. And I hate gimmicks.

It could probably turn a profit, but it would be very small. With people downloading emulators and ROMs for free, it wouldn't have much market for older games. Also, all the reasons listed above would negatively impact it. Still, some people would prefere it because you don't have to personally keep track of and care for all of the hardware.

I love the idea of a decentralized gaming.

But you would have to give the rest of the world 5 years to catch up so that the internet would be fast enough.
