So, which pencil (or pen) do you prefer? Mechanical pencils or regular pencils (if you use pen, say pen)? Personally, I have to agree with mechanical. Mechanical pencils are just easier to use in my mind and I find it interesting that they were made. Regular pencils are fine, but mechanical pencils usually don't break. The led does, unless you have something to support it. Regular pencil's graphite (is that it? ) could brake less easily than led, but nowadays led in a mechanical pencil could be supported with a metal inside (or whatever).

Between pen and pencil, I will always choose pen, because I dont like pencils, but for pencils I like mechanical ones way more. Cleaner to use, never sharpen, fittable erasers for some, etc.

zanderlex : I do agree, pens are very easy with the ink. Also, a story I have is one time, a piece of led (mechanical) got in my eye and I had to get it out. I didn't need to go to a doctor, my parents helped me get it out.

I hate it when I get led on my fingers from a regular pencil, its just terrible. I used to chew my pencils all the time so that was pretty bad, erasers too.

zanderlex : Markers are a bit too messy, same with crayons. I like colored pencils more than markers and crayons, personally because of those reasons. I do have a fondness for highlighters though, as I like to take notes and highlight things in books that I'm reading.

The only thing I dont like about them is that they are a bit thicker so my grip might need some time to get used to it and it would be a bit harder to write with at the very beginning.

I would really do anything for a Pilot pen though, G2 and V5 or V7, I forget which are the two cleanest and easiest pens to use.

Such sandwich posting convo :V I am a mechanical pencil user. I use mechanical pencils a lot more than I use regular pencils and pens. With mechanical pencils, I don't have to go through the trouble of sharpening it like a normal pencil, and I can erase any errors I make when writing, while I can't really do that with a pen.

I hate mechanical pencils. I always press down hard when I write, so the lead either gets used in record time, or it breaks every other word.
I don't have that problem with regular pencils.
As for pens, I'm alright with them, but it gets annoying when I make a mistake and can't fix it. Erasable pens also tend to smudge. It doesn't look very neat.
