With the present bitter cold hitting the East Coast on North America, people are complaining about how terrible cold is. While I admit even I, who loves cold, can very cold with the wind and dampness around Washington, D.C., cold is usually very easy to handle. I just put on extra layers and, as long as the temperature feels about -15/-20 Celsius it can be managed easily. Plus, sleeping in a colder room is very comfortable, especially if you have a special someone .

However, I absolutely can't stand heat. My metabolism is high so I naturally yield a lot of heat. Whenever the temperature is "too" high, I sweat buckets. It's very inconvenient at work; I mean, I just got out of the shower and I'm still sweaty! It's especially bad at night, where I believe I can feel what menopausal women feel (my bed sheets aren't soaked in sweat, but I am). Plus, even by stripping it all, I'm still hot.

As for the other extremes, I've never really experienced them. There was a strong 6+ earthquake in Quebec City circa 1989, but it's nothing like what California or Haiti experienced. I was also far enough from major rivers so I've never experienced flooding.

I used to live in Florida, and some of you may know that hurricanes are common there. In my time that I live in Florida, I've been through 3 hurricanes. However, I don't remember much of them since I was only a small child. Also, Summer is coming up, so those of you in hurricane zones, be safe.

I chose drought because of the dust bowl. The dust bowl was a natural that lasted for years. It consisted of frequent dust storms and those very dust storms took peoples lives and wrecked houses.

I'm a forecaster and I happen to live in an area that gets bad violent storms. Sometimes we get tornadoes.  My area was ground zero on the April 27th 2011 outbreak. Communities were literally wiped out nothing was left just about everything was gone. We also got some bad tornadoes during the April 16th 1998 tornado Outbreak and Easter 1997 outbreak Recently we had some bad tornadoes last year, and March 2nd 2012. my area has had other tornadoes. So for me and my own personal experience tornadoes are the worst for me.
