Zlinqx : Most bigger tattoos take more than one session / sitting. Like the back piece I am looking at getting right now... that will take me at least 6 6 sessions of 4 hours a piece, and that's if nothing happens. According to the artist, that's conservative too.

I don't have any tattoos... yet. Not that I intend to become like Tommy Lee, but I would certainly love to get at least one.

I'm not sure what it would be. I don't want something too simple like a flower or something "lame" like my husband's face - I love him with all my heart but should the tattooer miss the picture he will look ugly.

One of my best ideas would be half a maple leaf, half a fleur de lis. This would represent my origins and also the fact that separatism weakens rather than strengthens.

It would somewhere it can be seem like my shoulder or arm but I would make sure it's not TOO visible. In the media world appearances is everything.

Brigand : I have one tattoo on my left shoulder blade. Since I have an enormous love for wolves I knew I had to get a tattoo of one. I finally did and it turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. Now I want another one, but I have two problems. 1) The job that I have does not bring in reliable income so I don't have the money to get one, and 2) I have no idea what I want, nor do I know where I want to put it. If I do get more tattoos I don't want it to be anything I already have.

wolf742 :

Happy to hear you got a tat you love. Don't worry about the ideas. When the time is right, you will get one.

Brigand : That's a good point. When I was 18 the idea of getting a wolf tattoo just came to me. Granted I didn't actually get the tattoo until I was 21, the idea still never changed. The tattoo only took about 2 and a half hours to complete with one 15 minute break for the artist to eat lunch. When he finished he said it was his best wolf tattoo that he's ever done. I went back in the shop a few months ago and my tattoo was in his tattoo book. It felt pretty cool that my tattoo was on display for others to see how good his artwork is.

My questions to you are; How many tattoos do you have, and where are they located?

Brigand : I didn't realize it until now, but I have a third question I should have asked before... What are the tattoos of? Hopefully I'm not bugging you, or anyone else. I'm just curious, mostly because I like to hear the experience others have had with their tattoos.
