Davideo7 : I'm afraid I'll have to forfeit, even if my opponent isn't active. I have figured out what's causing disconnect issues on my end, but unfortunately it's something that won't be fixed at least for 1 or 2 more months anyways.

I'm sorry about that, I didn't have any issues of the sort at the time I signed up, I wouldn't have done so if I knew that was gonna happen.

Thanks for your support. I appreciate it. There's a handful more competitive players playing this year so it's going to be interesting. I haven't had the time I've wanted to hone my skills at some of these games. That being said, I still feel very confident in several of the games ;-) I'll be streaming all the matches.

Should be a fun test next week vs David. It's always a good time when me and him go against each other in some of these classic NES titles.

Davideo7 : Yeah, I know. I'm pretty sure this same exact thing happened last year...and we still wound up playing in the finals. Although I agree, it would be better if we didn't have to play each other this early in the tournament.

Sadly when the Super Mario Bros challenge was made I was really busy with stuff and didn't have a lot of time during that 24 hour or so stretch, so I just played 5-10mins to try to put up any score possible. I was hoping to go back to it and improve but I ran out of time.

Either way, if I win or if I lose, I'm ready for the outcome. The Loser's Bracket isn't so bad if you can end up in there with a good seed number.
