Prompt Pick a song, and put it on repeat. It can be any song. Now right to it. Words have to be more then 200.
Song Chosen: Have You Got It In You-Imogen Heap
Note: An old short story, there is mentions of fighting, death and blood so be warned...

Have you got it in you?

They watched her, staring in fascination as she twisted in ways no human should be able to. She moved across the stage in utter abandon, not once giving mind to those around her. She leaps back across the stage, landing on her knee, the other kicking up in the back as if she were just stretching out. The world stops.

Suddenly, as if hit with a sharp sword, she jumps up from her knee-pushing off with her hands. She does a single flip, landing hard on the stage. This doesn't stop her as she begins to spin, faster and faster she goes-never stopping once. When she finally stops, she begins to move across the stage again-as if she had never been spinning in the first place. The audience continues to watch this breath-taking dance until finally the piece has ended. She ends in a curl as the song ends, not looking at the audience but at her knees which are tucked neatly to her upper body. The world starts again.

No words are spoken, and no movement is made as she uncurls her body and stands before the audience. A small smile lights her face and she gives a bow before walking off the stage-the audience bursting into cheers behind her. She can hear the congratulatory calls of those around her, but her mind isn't focused on any of them. Her breathing is ragged, and her body screams for water. Twisting open the cap of a grabbed water, she promptly chugs it before throwing it in a recycling bin. She knows it's not good to drink water that fast, but she doesn't care. In her mind eye a dance flashes before her, one she'd rather forget.
-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-
Bending backwards she barely manages to escape the knife thrown her way. Falling to the ground, she lands on her hands before swiping the legs in front of her with her own foot. The two fall on the floor, attempting to catch their breath. Glancing wearily at one another, the man sits up to grab her foot, pulling her towards him. She pushes back, kicking him in the ribs, and flipping over. He holds his stomach, groaning at the pain before pulling out another knife. Aiming it he throws it, watching as it hits the leg that is hitting the ground at the moment. A cry of pain and disbelief is heard.

Picking up the knife she turns to look at him, and they both stand. The knife hadn't really gotten her too bad, just shocked her really. They circle each other, a dance starting again.

They move in sync, as if two lovers in the midst of love, dodging each other's punches and kicks. She holds the knife in her left hand tightly, hoping for a little bit of leeway. He makes an attempt to hit her on the left, she spins right, her arm swinging around to slash at his arm. Contact is made, blood is drawn. A curse is heard, causing her to grin. "Foolish girl."

He hits her back, surprising her in the midst of her grin. Falling to her knees she holds her stomach, cursing her distraction. Their eyes meet-chocolate on chocolate- and for a split moment it's just them, no ulterior motives. Just as quick as that moment began it ended, and soon she spins on her knees to catch him off guard hitting him with the stolen knife. He falls, unable to get up.

Standing slowly, holding her stomach with a bleeding hand she looks at him. She gives me a sad smile before walking over and leaning down to pick up the knife. Pressing it to his neck she whispers, "You didn't have it in you," before ending his life once and for all.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

They didn't know who she truly was. If they did they wouldn't be cheering for her now. Wiping the sweat from her face she glanced at the stage manager, watching as he gave her look that reminded her of him. "Guess it's time to find out if he's got it in him..." She muttered to herself.

And so a new dance begins...
