(From the emulator menu select a video resolution that has "S" instead of D or W (non-D mode).

- Try it in XP Mode, this will run it in 16-bit, info for this-

I have windows 8.1 laptop. intel core i5. nvdiaGEforce820. Direct x11.
I visit dxdiag, theres no option to disable the DDaccelerator and the other 2.

Windows 8 has a lot of compatibility problems...

Are you able to access the menu with the Esc key? You might have to either click OK on the error message box or click on the game window first. If so, you'll need to change the video resolution to one that's compatible with your PC.

Alternatively, you can use Mednafen by clicking the link on the top left of the game window. I actually prefer Mednafen personally.
