Davideo7 : I'm sure you know way more about computers than I do, but I was recently having computer slow issues until I realized that on the AVG virus scan the default was not set to remove tracking cookies among other things. When I had downloaded the 2015 version, the entire list I usually have it scan for was not selected, so my AVG was not catching anything. Then once I selected all the correct settings it caught like 100 tracking cookies and now my computer works much smoother!

Also did you try an AVG scan in safe mode? That is how I've caught Trojan viruses before when AVG in regular mode would not find anything

kramer4077 : I did get rid of all tracking cookies but I never thought to do a scan in safe mode. I'll give it a shot.

I updated my graphic card and also adjust the following setting within NVIDIA Control Panel:
Power management mode: Prefer maximum performance

This has helped a lot but still hasn't fixed it completely. Eventually I'll do a completely new reinstall of windows but I'll just wait until Windows 10 comes up.

What is CPU,RAM,Disk,Network % from task manager say about the particular browsers when this happens?
Could be a corrupted HDD/SSD, tries writing to a specific chunk which is borked and keeps erroring over and over again internally.

Had similar issues with faulty RAM. Firefox would give me some error about allocating memory to a specific memory address every now and then but it'd be the only program to do it. Many days spent doing memory tests found nothing but I sent them away for replacement and when I purchased new RAM of the same type computer was fine again. Then when I got new RAM sent back from the RMA I sent away I put them in and got extra RAM :3
