No problem at all. I personally recommend the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games as they are a nice change from the normal "Gotta catch em all" formula and are interesting even if one had never even heard of Pokemon.
Definatly a decent dungeon crawler series with some of the better RPG elements.
If you are interested in a "catch em all" game, I would say get Pokémon Platinum.
It has the best features of the new gen games (ignoring HG / SS) and lets you experience a region you havn't seen before.
HG / SS are good in their own right, but if you have played Gold / Silver / Crystal then you will be getting a fair bit of the same stuff you have already seen before, just with a few extras (nice extras, but maybe not enough to make it worth more then Platinum).

I personally say fire red or leaf green only because i didn't like the fact that in gold and silver you actually had to wait in real time for the time to change in the game... I loved the pokemon in it though...

I would suggest getting Heart Gold/Soul Silver. The Johto ark in pokemon is one of my favorites, and these two new games will have better graphics, and probably some unseen extra side adventures. However, if you want to buy a game that is already out, I would go with either Platinum, Diamond, or Pearl.

i dunno if they will be better, but you do have more badges to get, and a 'final boss' which is ash sitting in a cave where mewtwo is supposed to be. just finished platinum, and it was a nice change from having to catch every stupid little thing you saw, since the pokedex gets updated by sight rather than actually catching them. thats something that the game went on a different path than the show did.. in the show, the dex already knows everything about every pokemon as soon as ash sees it. in the old games you have to catch something in order to get data

I love Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but I also love the traditional raising of those critters, and HG/SS are gonna be quite epic must-haves, I'm sure. If you have enough money around though, buy PMD too! Explorers of Sky has a few more perks and goes a bit more in depth regarding the storyline, which is quite an extraordinary one.

HG/SS because they take the best two games from the series and remake them into something even better. If you are getting bored with the whole "gotta catch 'em all" thing, then I agree with DH, go with Mystery Dungeon, doesn't matter which. If you want a game that's already out, go with Platinum, it's so much better than D/P that there's no comparison.
