Wait, It Was Who?! Movie: Werewolf: The Best Among Us By: thing1 In my last movie review, I did The Amazing Spider Man. I actually talked about the plot and story of the movie. If I do all of that for this movie, then it would ruin it. So, I will tell you what I can before I get into my ratings. This movie has quite a few cliché's. It has the good guy fighting over a girl with the bad guy ( only thing is this bad guy is not the bad guy, until the end of the movie, until he then becomes the bad guy ). It is at least 90 minutes ( 93, to be exact ) , which, in my book, is the minimum for me to even watch a movie. It has macho men for the ladies to stare at. It has guns and weapons to keep the guys interested. Granted, this movie is not a movie that " has it all. " But, if you are looking for a movie to kill an hour and a half on, or a good snuggle movie to watch with your partner ( if you both like a bit of action in your movies, that is ) , then this is a good movie for you. Otherwise, just pass it over. Cinematography: 6 out of 10. Alright, so the costumes were well done? Check. The casting? Not the best... but then again, this wasn't a high maintenance movie, so the casting was done well enough. However, when you finally see " The Beast, " it just looks so bad! I mean, it's not terrible, but you could tell they did not put as much effort into the werewolf's costume as they could have. For that, and that alone, I have to knock it down a few points. If the costume was done better, I might have given the cinematography a 7.5 out of 10, but even then, that is pushing it. I think a 7 would have been more likely. Sound: 7 out of 10. There were no songs or soundtracks or instrumentals that I can remember. Then again, I did watch this movie at midnight my time, and I am writing the review at 1:30 in the morning. That being said, the sounds and sound effects were done very well. While there was not a lot of them needed, the gunshots were well timed, and the noises that the werewolf made was also well done. For that, I give it a 7. If there was some music to go with it that was appropriate, I may have bumped it up to a 8, but naw. Re-watch-ability: 3 out of 10. This is one of those movies that you watch because you have nothing else to watch. It is kind of like Scary Movie. Either you watch it to cross it off your list, or you are just really in the mood to watch it. It wasn't very memorable, and I bet in a few days, I won't even remember it, unless I see this review. It wasn't bad... it just wasn't that great, you know? So yeah, I'm giving it a modest 3 for what it was. Depth: 5 out of 10. Depth, huh? Well, what can I say about it? I mean, it had a few things going for it. It had the girl being involved. It had the bad guy ending up being the good guy, and a few of the good guys being bad guys ( who were not related ). That threw me off for a few minutes until I started putting all the pieces together, and that is hard to do for me. I am very analytic. It had multiple different scenes, which is surprising, for a movie that seemed to have a smaller medium ranged budget. So, without spoiling much else, I'm going to give it a 5. Story: 6.5 out of 10. Now, this is the first half rating I have ever given on one of my movie ratings, so let me explain, without spoiling anything else that I haven't already. The story is not a hook, line, and sinker, so it doesn't deserve a 7. However, it's not so terrible that it deserves a 4 or less. It's not trash. It does follow a good story line, and it managed to confuse me for a moment. So, it's at least a 6. However, it did just enough to keep me wanting to finish it up to see what happened that is deserves a little more than a 6. So, I am going to give it a 6.5 . Audience: 4 out of 10. This film is not for everybody. You have to like some gore. You have to like the supernatural. You have to be into EVERYTHING that is in this movie, or it just won't be for you. I would give this a 2 or a 3, but as I said earlier, this is a half-way decent movie to watch with your partner and snuggle to. So, it's getting a very pretty 4. Overall: 5.25 out of 10. It's not a great movie. It is not that memorable. However, it does have it's perks, albeit, very few of them, but still. Anybody got any feedback, feel free to share it. You can find this movie on Netflix, if you wish to watch it. Wait, It Was Who?! Movie: Werewolf: The Best Among Us By: thing1 In my last movie review, I did The Amazing Spider Man.
