Ok there is always one of those really weird people thrown into a anime as the comic relief for the anime. Seems to be that way with just about every anime I have ever seen. So here's my question for all of you : Name your top three weirdest anime characters and what animes they come from. 
And just to clarify what I mean by weird ... attitude, mentality, etc... whatever you found weird about them. My answer to this would be :
1. L from Death Note - He's very odd. He's a sleep deprived detective who is addicted to sugar and sweet, sits like a bird (even in the car and while he's sleeping ), and gnaws on his thumb ( not thumbnail like most people would do ) when he's thinking. Plus, he's awesome at tennis and creeping people out. Not to mention that owlish stare of his. 
2. Arakune from ANGEL SANCTUARY. Crossdressing male demons with big sister complexes score high on my  list, though (s)he or it is rather endearing. Of course, a lot of characters in AS are fundamentally boggle-worthy and very worthy of making this list. 
3. Fred Low of Outlaw Star - the highly disturbing and very homo-expressive. I mean seriously who would not think this one is weird ? Big Hug. "Ahhhhhhhhhh"

This took me some time to think about.
