21 generally means very little except you can legally gamble in the U.S. and you can drink alcohol.

The alcohol part is a big deal but you have to be safe and careful.  Getting blown up and wasted and carried around is always a bad decision and it's not fun.  Find that perfect level of tipsy, drunk, having fun, but not out of control.  Out of control means you end up lost or in a gutter somewhere, in a bed somewhere (with someone you don't remember very well or even know) and it's just bad news.

If you've been drinking, learn to do it with some style.  Getting bombed is not as exciting as it seems.  Enjoy alcohol, be safe, and make sure you get home every night.

I don't really understand this " Oh I'm 21, I can drink now" mentality, is it really important to drink alcohol? I myself am 21 but I've tasted an alcoholic beverage when I was 16, only tasted it, and I did not like it at all. I've not had it since then, not even on my 21st birthday.
