OK I just found this awesome news article.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8394191.stm
I don't know if any of you are interested in Football (Soccer), but if it was in 3D wouldn't everyone be interested!?!
I honestly hope that this is done, and broadcast.
If they had the Final in 3D it would have to be one of the most watched things ever.
What does everyone else think?

I really see no difference in 3D glasses while watching it normally. I mean we all want better views of stuff one point in time or another but I think a better way to go about it is first person.

I think if they really wanted fans watching their games they would allow anyone with a remote to control what view of the game they see whether from a specific persons helmet or normal view. It would allow you to pause the game like in Wayne Gretzgys (Can't spell his name lol) 3D Hockey. If fans were able to control the view, pause the game, and move around with everything paused or in real time just imagine how much more interactive television could become.

Many video games have this sort of functionality like I mentioned above (Wayne Gretgys 3D Hockey). Television is failing as a medium and it needs to be reinvented yet again. I think the 3D thing in this story is interesting and will make it more fun to watch games, however they could take it further with the ideas they use in video games.

Ausstar (Australian PayTV) Gives you the ability to choose which camera you view football games from.
And I never knew there was games in 3D, sounds pretty cool.
But it will never be possible to move around as you like. You will be able to move to the next camera but it could be 20 metres away.
Anyway, I still think for a one off thing it would be a pretty awesome experience.
