Hey guys. generalspleen or as some of you know me by Shawn. I decided to try and get back into poetry. And since I post all my poems on here I thought why not keep the tradition alive and keep posting them on here anyways as some of you probably read in my thread about my parents getting divorced I also lost two friends because of reasons explained in the thread. Before the problems started... one of those friends names ciera had a birthday. So I decided that since I had no money for a gift I would make her something from the heart. Which is my poetry. So I wrote her two poems right before it hit midnight and it became her birthday. And I thought I would share them with you guys I don't really have a title for these two poems so I guess I'll call them happy birthday ciera. I hope you guys enjoy. And let me know what you guys think. I love when I can get feedback on my work. Anyways without further waiting... here's part one of my poem called: happy birthday ciera. Enjoy

Ciera, Ciera, what can I say?
today is your birthday. Hip Hip Hooray!!!
Another year older starting today.
Let's celebrate tonight and start it off right ok?

nineteen years and doing so much.
working and school with an elegant touch.
And having time for us to discuss,
all the BS we can. Man what a rush!

now it may be true that it hasn't been long,
since we became friends after a bong.
but since you have been letting me tag along...
I regret not chilling with you. Man I was wrong.

There are too many things that are on my mind,
That I can say when I write this rhyme.
But there's not much room. It's only sixteen lines.
so I'll say this. Happy birthday ciera! Have a great time.

so that is part one of two for the birthday poem for ciera. I'm gonna post the second one after I make some food cause I am really really hungry lol. So I hope you guys have enjoyed this poem.
