Unfortunatly, yes I do. It was so much simpler when I didn't.
But these days when I play I try to EV train my starter and maybe one or two favorites or special Pokemon.
Takes alot longer and can be quite frustrating at times...

I know of them but dont really care. It just takes too much fun out of the game. I'd rather just go threw games a few times using pokemon I haven't used before each time so I can collect many strong pokemon than I would train only 5 or 6 just to be a little bit better than they usually are.
