I will attempt my first movie review. Be patient with me, I will try my absolute best!
Introduction: Many are well aware of the new Superhero trend, but it all started with the Batman Movies. In 2005 Christopher Nolan released the Batman Begins. Although good, it was far from the best. In 2008, he released what is called, one of the best sequels ever, and the best superhero movie of all time. I will try to do this masterpiece justice!
Plot: The plot of this movie is one of the best I have seen. Batman has one of his greatest struggles, one that is beyond the physical fight. He must take down an ideal of chaos, one who tries to make him give up his only rule. That rule is, I don't kill anyone. Batman has cleaned the streets of Gotham. Even the mob leaders don't meet at night, for fear of getting caught by the "Bat." The only thing that goes wrong, a mysterious Bank robber shows up. His taste for the theatrical, rivals even that of Batman. This man seems to have all in his path, all goes his way. How will Batman take him down? The story is one of the best in a Superhero movie, it isn't known as one of the best for no reason. I would give it a 10/10 in this category.
Acting: This is really just packed with A-list actors. Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman etc. The actors are some of the best in the business. The late Heath Ledger gave one of his best performances ever. This has truly some of the greatest actors. I give this a 9/10. I give it that, because it would have to be the best ever to make it a full score.
script: The script is neither corny, nor over-worked. This makes the movie good. Humor has been put in, in order to create Comedic Relief. This is a darker movie, but it has it's parts of realism. The movie focuses on a more realistic tone than the previous Batman movies. The previous ones stuck more to the comic books, and while this one strayed from it's material, it gave one of the best received versions of Batman. The script is what made the difference, for the previous ones were panned for their corny on-liners. I give the script a 9/10.
Effects: The movie has very realistic effects. While spectacular, it is far from overused or unrealistic. The world doesn't go up in explosions, which makes it more fun. (Because it keeps a spec of realistic things.) I would highly recommend watching it, because it's effects seem to be done practically, not the CGI based things that only work if done well. Flipping a Semi, Taking an RPG on the side of the tank, and stuff like that. The effects are really well done, and the CGI can't be found. (If they even used it.) I give it a solid 10/10 for effects.
Overall I give movie a 9.6/10. It's one of the best ever made. You should check it out if you haven't already. With great effects, good acting, a solid story, and top-of-the-line acting, it's really one of the best! I will attempt my first movie review. Be patient with me, I will try my absolute best!
