How do you fix a noisy server?

The telecoms guy came and installed a new server but the fan blows all the time and it is noisy!

I don't want to call him back it costs bucks! So I wonder what I can do to turn the noise down.

Since nobody else could answer, I'll try to give this a shot.

My first impression is that you could put some sort of physical barrier to keep the sound down.

The other options are quieter fans, or using an alternative to fans, like liquid cooling. But that would probably require calling them back.
