My dad played the PlayStation 1. I never had one. His wife explained the thing about him being a gamer that when he was a kid he had nothing else but a strict mom who would give him hell over every little thing so that in a sense he had no childhood that I had. Well, I left the poor guy alone with his rally games.

Then again, I guess I am suppoused to be old enough myself to tell my kids about Atari and NES. Well, though luck. Nobody to tell.

Yes both of my parents play games. My dad has more of the old games and used to play them a lot. My mom did not have much time as a kid to play games so busy with clubs and sports. She got into them a lot more after school. She plays the most games with me now. We play a few times a week and sometimes do 2 player games on here.  My dad likes the older wrestler games and sometimes play those.

I visited my dad over Christmas and I was surprised at how much he has changed since my last post in this thread. He still does not play a lot, but he plays more than I thought.

I took my 360 so he could play Lego: Hobbit if he wanted too, and he sat on it for an entire play playing with my little brother. ( My Dad is a LOTR and Hobbit nerd! )

I remember both my parents playing video games in only one game each.

My mom played Dr. Mario for the NES way back in the day. Like I said, that was the only video game she ever played. She was actually really good at it, but every time she got level 40, she had trouble going further. Whenever she put a pill in the wrong place, she'd get really mad like I've never seen before, and I'd laugh at her.

My dad played Tiger Woods 2004 for the PS2. He played against me a couple times, and gave me a run but I'd come out on top in the end. He was really that bad either. I had just never seen my parents play video games before...I thought it was really weird. But nevertheless, they both made me smile while I watched them play. It was cool to see them act like little kids again.

Well my parents are no longer with me but yeah they used to play video games quite often.
My dad's games were : Tetris ( any of the series on multiple consoles ), Mario games, Donkey Kong games, Zelda games, and any Star Wars games.
My mom was more into the simpler kiddie games as I call them : Zoop, Bust A Move, Milon's Secret Castle, Mario games, and older retro games like Centipede, Millipede, Space invaders, and Asteroids.
Thanks for the chance to walk down memory lane FadedWarrior.  :O)

My mum plays Wii Fit every now and then. My grandma still plays those Zelda games on the Wii, other than that, that's the closest my parents are going to get to play video games.

No. I wish they did. But they see it as aiming and shooting, and nothing more than that, which is a real shame.
