Hands down DBZ Kai. Not even a comparison. I grew up watching DBZ, and let me tell you: it was bloated as all hell by filler. DBZ Kai's animation looks much better due to the digital makeover, but they cut the filler out, giving a much more manga-like experience. Funimation also has more than like 20 VA's, so some roles got replaced, almost always for the better, especially Frieza's VA. In the older dubs (excluding the very first Funi dub), Frieza sounded like a chain smoking woman. In Kai, he sounds like he should; normally calm and menacing, but ferocious when angered. Hearing Frieza as he was always meant to sound made Frieza my favorite villain.
