Recently, the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy's, the hit horror game of late 2014, has released. Titled Five Nights at Freddy's 2, fans have been waiting every day until the release date of the game. Now that it's out, lots of theories and rumors starts spreading about. One popular theory is that Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is actually a prequel to Five Nights at Freddy's. Let's dive into the facts that support this theory.

Fact 1- Phone Guy
The Phone Guy is someone who basically tells you the instructions to the game, as well as describing the main plot to you. In Five Night's at Freddy's, he dies in Night 4 and gets stuffed into a Freddy Fazbear suit. If Five Night's at Freddy's is indeed a sequel, then how is it that the Phone Guy is alive and well. There is only one explanation to this. This game is a prequel.

Fact 2- Phone Calls
On Night 1 in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Phone Guy makes the following statement: "Uh, now, I want you to forget anything you may have heard about the old location, you know. Uh, some people still have a somewhat negative impression of the company. Uh... that old restaurant was kind of left to rot for quite a while, but I want to reassure you, Fazbear Entertainment is committed to family fun and above all, safety. They've spent a small fortune on these new animatronics, uh, facial recognition, advanced mobility, they even let them walk around during the day. Isn't that neat?" On the first night in Five Nights at Freddy's, Phone guy makes this statement: "Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?" After Night 5 of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, you get your paycheck. The date on the paycheck is in the year of 1987. Keep in mind, that there is no mention of the "Bite of '87" In Five Night's at Freddy's 2. This fact leads to the theory of this game being a prequel as well.

With these 2 facts put together, there's no question that this game is a prequel to the first installment. However, there's one last thing I want to tell you. In Night 3 or so in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Phone Guy says that someone stole a yellow Freddy suit. He also states that because of this situation, they will have one last birthday party before they close down. Since this game is dated 1987, then this birthday party is probably the birthday party where the "Bite of '87" happens. Now, remember in the first game, there was a man dressed in a Freddy suit and lured 5 children to the back room where he stuffed them into costumes and killed them. The man who stole the yellow Freddy costume in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is believed to be the man who caused this.

What do you guys think about these theories and facts? Do you have any evidence against this?

Youmak good points. Having watched a little bit of gameplay for FNAF 1, and not knowing much except for watching the first night of FNAF 2 a few days ago, this sounds pretty legit, given your evidence and reasoning.

However, now I am even more scared ****less to play this game, and I own the first one.
