This forum needs some activity, and good conversation, so welcome aboard to the forum where sword has all the fun, (though there's plenty to go around, you just have to act Nerdy, you know, that lost side of yourself you leave inside your coat that you hang up every morning?


Quick! Which game would you prefer?

I know, what you're gonna say, "It's like comparing apples to oranges!"

Well, Oranges suck compared to apples! And Apples make better pies! (especially when your mom thinks that the orange peel would help thicken the crust.

Everyone has different opinions, and it's time to post! That's what posting is for!

So! What is your opinion on these two games? Which is better? And which do you prefer more?

No, I did not ask the same question twice, when I ask which game is better, I mean from your super sluething skills in taking as close, and as an unbiased look as you can at the matter! (that's a good skill for real life too BTW)

But as for which you prefer, now, that's all a matter of personal taste! Sonic may leave Link in the dust when it comes to this, or Gorons may complain that Sonic can't slow down and enjoy the flowers, But whatever!

We need better, and more video game related posts in this forum, and board, so let's do it!


Here's my analyzation of the two games. .

"Drummroll please."


Sonic and the Black Knight.



Neither game do I know as well as I wish.

I did try to 100% TP with my whole family, but I found Black Knight much more enjoyable in most every aspect, (Including story, though more of the backstory than anything else, some SERIOUS references appear at the end of the game and roll off Merlina's tounge about mordred and stuffs. Pretty neat when compared to the original Authurian legends.)


For, one, let's start with the Story, I am on that trend, am I not?


Twilight Princess has us moving and slowing down at every opportunity. They started a good story, but didn't really take it anywhere in my opinion. Link has a girlfriend, who. . . I forget even exists in the game. Though Characters like Rusl and Shad I will remember forever along with Hero's Shade and Shad.

This doesn't mean that really any of those characters were used well. (Save Hero's shade, but even he had TON's of wasted potential.)

I know, I know, Zelda isn't sonic, but I just like the way Sonic does it's story and Actually USES other characters, unlike Nintendo, in which Link is pretty much all by himself, and the only other playable character is Kafie at the end of one long side quest and hardly fun to play as companions in Wind Waker. Ugh.


Now for Gameplay.

The gameplay to both games is good, but TP I found slow and boring, combat wise anyways, even from the very beginning. Sonic (as usual) keeps us on our toes and I got many deaths. The minibosses and bosses were much harder than Zelda's, and even more fun. A darknut does not even compare to that of Lancelot's return, in both difficulty, the gritty edge fun, sword slashing action.

I love it! And the music it plays while fighting these redesigned rivals to our favorite blue hedgehog!

Through the Fire!


The levels to both games were pretty good. I think that TP had better environments, though Black Knight's were purely fantastic. They still don't quite compete with that of the Temple of Time, Snow Peak ruins, Hyrule Market Town, Ordan village and such. Nevertheless, Sonic Team really did find their own mideveal touch of which I did not find disappointing in the least.


The weapons in both games. . . were good, but Black Knight is 10x as much customizable. COME ON ZELDA! YOUR'E THE ACTION RPG HERE!!! I mean, in Black Knight, you can even craft your own SWORDS! Not Stuck with the defaults! It's so awesome! But not the Zelda Series, instead half our items are useless by the end of the game combat and free play wise. (Stares blatently at dominion rod and metal boots)

- Mutliplayer

Nope Zelda doesn't let us play as different characters for more than 0.014 percent of the game, why would we ever get real multiplayer here? But Sonic has it. And does it. And it's awesome.


And finally.

The music.


The music in TP is good. . . but not Grand. Black Knight had a REAL band, not computer generated sounds, and they ROCKED us with lyrical themes. This is not good, this is GREAT. And once again, I loved it. To never be forgotten. Sadly, this is the last title I believe to really make use of Crush 40. And it's disappointing! I loved their tunes! Live and Learn!


In the end, I find Link as something of old News, And I wish Sonic Team would make a Zelda game. I mean, they do a lot more of what I want in my games, but enough said. I don't want this to be made into a complaining thread.

I want to smash link's skull as King Arthur and then laugh at his remains.
