Well, for those who don't know it's basically a bunch of e-mails that were "stolen"/leaked to the public that were sent between a bunch of climate scientists. Many of these e-mails contained recommendations on how to tamper with, change, modify, tweak, etc etc temperature data in order to conitnue every in believing that the world is in fact still getting warmer.

A quick google search will find you plenty of information about it. Very few mainstream news media sources are reporting on this (probably because of their unwavering support of climate change "science") but the info is out there.

It's pretty damning stuff. It raises a lot of red flags and questions. How good is the data we have? What information is getting deleted? Are we about to spend billions of dollars to prevent a problem that has been created by scientists?

Thoughts...

Sorry for a short post, but I will add on more when I further understand this situation. But I would like to put a quick thought that,

I think that would be outrageous and sad enough I believe it. I can't find myself to believe anything the media says unless I find out things for myself and yes here in AZ it's been hot more than usual but who says it's just being a consistent happening of El Nino, La Nina, whichever raises temperatures. It is totally possible that this kind of, would I say, conspiracy is possible. I am actually intrigued by this issue and when I have more time I will research it. But please, if you have more interesting facts, please post. I'd appreciate it.

http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2009/11/climategate-executive-summary-of-cru.html

that is a pretty good summary of the stuff that is in the e-mails and other documents that were leaked. It's pretty damning stuff.

The actual e-mails/documents are available online to be verified but I haven't bothered to actually grab em.

http://jamesdelingpole.com/ - another site that is talking about climate-gate. Haven't read tons of it but there are links from there to other places too. Lots of info out there that the MSM isn't giving out.

It is kind of funny. They got caught and now they are saying the political equivalent of "nuh-uh". I hope they get dragged through the dirt and prosecuted heavily for what they were trying to do to us. It would serve them right.

yeah... it's kind of a joke. One group gets caught tampering with data and we're supposed to believe that in spite of what they did that the rest of the science is still as good as the rest.

This is appauling to me as well... Once again we are all at the mercy of congress and the govt which withholds information from the public which could be corrosive to our well-being. Its sad that there is this much dampening evidence against them all, i mean even people quiting their jobs, yet we cannot prosecute anyone. Where exactly do we draw the line where we stop enabling these things to happen.

Imagine your living in California, and there is a ship in the Pacific Ocean that has a EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) device that sets off an earth quake that devastates the whole sea-board..... Its ok FIMA will help hahaha

No matter what information comes out though, the liberal news channels like cbs and nbc won't report any of it. I garuntee it. I heard about this about a month ago and the only channel willing to report it is fox news.
