Champ Bailey had a helluva career. This man is one the best Defensive Back of this era. I won't go so far as to say all time, but if he is, it's close, it really close.

He had a bad pre-season no thanks to injuries, and I guess he could just never get it together or something after that.

I'm hoping that Denver signs him to a 1 day contract to retire a Bronco. That is the only way Mr. Bailey deserves to go out.

thing1 : Good for him, may he enjoy a well-deserved retirement. It's no surprise he couldn't get himself together this year, and it's okay. The dude has been doing this for a very, very long time now.

I really hadn't heard that he was retiring, but I will trust your judgment on this.

Champ Bailey did have one heck of a career, obviously the best part of it coming with the Broncos. When he was drafted by the Redskins in 1999, he quickly established himself as one of the best corners in the league. I will always remember when he was still in college playing at Georgia that "this guy will be good," even though I was only like 12 years old at the time.

He had 50+ career INTs, which I think is a very impressive stat for anybody. I think he is definitely hall of fame worthy...maybe first ballot, maybe not...but still HoF material nonetheless. He is a top 10 corner of all time, in my opinion, no doubt.

Congrats to him on an outstanding career!
