Thought I would do another anime review after so long without one, Same rules apply as before please tell me any criticism you have and how I can improve my reviews, Honestly I am running out of anime to review so I am really having to basically cram as much anime in as I can in my spare time, Luckily I have been sick quite a bit recently so it has given me a chance to catch up on some. Anyways enjoy the review.

Synopsis
After being inches away from conquering the entire world , Devil King Sadao is defeated by Hero Emilia . He is forced to leave his world and enters what is shown as Tokyo . Possessing no other traits than conquering the world Sadao is in a new world and his skills will not help him here . He is forced to work in a fast food restaurant .

Genre 9
A fantasy , a comedy and even some action stuffed in here , this anime pulls it all together and does not even do a shabby job at it . I am a little impressed at how well this was able to hold my attention . I did not have much hope for it when first looking into it but to my surprise what I received was a pretty hilarious anime . The fantasy aspect of it really set it up for a lot of the jokes it pulls which you think would get tiresome after a while however quite the opposite , they were the best jokes . If it is not obvious this anime has some religious aspects but they flow so well you hardly notice them . I give this a 9 because of how neatly the different genres interlace with one another , if not only justified by the religious aspect because I know there are so many comedies but this one does a superb job of all of it .

Story 8
Once again a fairly unique premise , what with the main characters being the Devil and the Hero . I know this actually is somewhat common for anime in all actuality , the next anime I plan on reviewing is within the same realm of the Devil and the Hero . I have however watched a lot of anime and I know I do not very often see anyone much less the main character , once again , much less the Devil working in the fast food industry . That is unique on its own but there is also other aspects to the story aside from that . You could maybe see a little bit of romance in here , if not as a joke it is still there and fairly plain to see . The definite main focus of the story is humor and it does its job very well , there is hardly any seriousness about this .

Characters 7
Believe it or not , there is very apparent character development throughout this anime . The Devil King , a cold and selfish person . The Hero , courageous and protective . While these are the basics of it the characters themselves go much deeper and that is actually a bit surprising seeing as the context of the show is very apparently humor . The Devil King , while seen as cold and selfish is actually very genuine and helpful whether he realizes he is doing good or not . The Her o, she is adamant about the Devil always being so wrong and so impure she will go against anything to see it through . She is the reason you begin the see the kind side to the Devil King . Now as there is character development there it is not a big deal nor is it really focused on , perhaps in some scenes but it is generally always for another scene to play out well for a joke .

Detail 8
I would like to go more into the show as a whole instead of just character designs for this section . They made a lovely back story that is not very well known . They could make an anime purely based on the the beginning plot setting . The small quirks in this anime really shine through and it adds to the experience of it all . Now on to character design , there is not a whole lot to say , it is modern , it is stylish they are not incredibly unique and that is a shame but also fairly expected . Some scenes are very nice to watch , the detail in them is obvious and is pleasant to view . Some scenes are dull and are merely close ups of the characters or just flat out for fan service .

Sound 7
Since the genre encompasses so much the music is actually noticeable . In the action scenes the music is dramatic and intense and you feel as you would during a typical action anime . Although as I have said many times the main focus is comedy so you mostly get plain background music that is not going to give you much thrill . In dramatic scenes the music can be pretty sad and you get a real feel for it since you might actually need to be given cues that the mood has changed . This is probably the first review that I have done raving about the background music , well to add on to that the opening and ending tracks are actually ... rather dull . I will be honest and say I skipped them most of the time unless I was too lazy to move the progress bar slightly forward .

Addictiveness 7
Despite how much I did enjoy the good humor in this it was not something I could watch constantly . This was highly enjoyable but unless you want to watch something purely silly all the time then you will need to cut this show into pieces to receive full enjoyment . It can be a bit hard because a lot of episodes have a cliff hanger to them but it is definitely not impossible . I am sure you could watch this in basically one sitting however , I do not think you will feel the need to , this is something you would most likely rather enjoy when the time seems right .

Over-All 7
A pretty good anime , something for when you want to enjoy the finer things in life like situational humor . There are many things it can improve upon but in itself it is still very fun to watch and to see what happens , there is maybe one arc to it , which for the length of it is a bit surprising that it even has an arc at all . I am not sure if there are plans for a second season but the way it ends it really has no need for one. You get all the fulfilment you could want from this series.

I personally loved The Devil is a Part Timer.

I saw it on Hulu a couple weeks ago, when searching for something new to watch, and found myself drawn to the characters, especially the devil himself.

I marathoned the entire show in a sitting, and honestly wish the series was a little longer, because the show's antics are fun to watch.
