So my mom showed me a song that was pretty contradictory to the point it was trying to make, and can be seen as highly offensive. I thought at first there was nothing to really argue about, and the song was just offensive, but then I saw some comments to the song and people argued pretty strongly for it, so I thought it would be a good idea to share it with vizzed and see what you guys think about it.

In my personal opinion, the song is really offensive to skinny people, even though they were "just playing". The song tried to say that "every inch of you is perfect" but then they go and bash on skinny girls. Even though they claimed they were "just playing" it isnt exactly too convincing, I mean its like walking into a Gay-Straight Alliance meeting and saying "Youre all degenerates! Naw, Im just kidding" (No offense to homosexuals or anything like that, just an example) it just isnt right and apologizing just makes it look like you were mocking them. Well, those were my thoughts, so what do you guys think about this song?

It's a catchy song with a nice hook that makes me laugh because of the black guy who's dancing around.  it's a good song to drive around to and it makes me smile.

The girl is just saying she's all about the bigger girls and she's owning what she has.  She's not going to be skinny nor has she been skinny and she's fine with that.  That's her thing.  She also encourages guys who like skinny girls to keep things moving if they're not into big girls.  That's just fine with her and should be fine with them.

I'm baffled how you find anything offensive to this song.  My wife is super-athletic and runs marathons and is super fit.  All I do is exercise and train hard for things so we're a fit couple.  We find zero things wrong with the song.

It's just a song.  Instead of trying to find offensive things everywhere, just enjoy the song.  She's just having fun and 'just playing' so relax.  Don't be offended because that's not what this is all about.

Everyone relax.  

Seriously, though.  What was highly offensive?  Find me anything in that song that's highly offensive.

warmaker : Thats a good point. Dont get me wrong, Im not someone who finds everything offensive, I just noticed those parts and it disturbed me a little. You bring up a really good point, so I guess that concludes this debate for now. Not my kind of song but Ill just leave it be now

I'm not one who finds it offensive but i can see why some people would, This honestly seems like a more toned down version of "Anaconda" By Nicki Minaj, that literally says something along the lines of if your butt isn't big you are ugly. 

I mean warmaker has a point. People can find offensive things in anything if they try hard enough, As for youtube comments just ignore them they are usually made to provoke a reaction, or 9/10 they are just stupid. 

I understand your point though if the chorus is pretty much, Your perfect no matter what your size, compared to other lines where she sings about thinner people being worse than others... 

Either way i guess it is a catchy song... but it really does rip off a few other songs as well, or makes imitations of them...

The only way thissong is offensive is to my ear drums.
Even by pop standards its terrible.
As for her intentions from the lyrics? shes a popsinger. She doesent write them.
