Can posting a stream count? Thing is, a lot of times some people will have to go deal with things and come back so that's not really game play. It'd have to be edited for just the game play, right? it'd seem unfair, otherwise.

Foxyman1113 : Streams count but good point. I'll make it a rule that any non gameplay in a stream needs to be edited out, otherwise it'll be down rated and therefore not count.

Davideo7 : I dont think i'd get the bonus because Im trying to make 2 (maybe 3) full walkthroughs of rgr games. Im not sure if I could record enough videos to balance out the 75%

mourinhosgum : I've modified the rules to allow you to submit up to 6 hours worth of gameplay per a game. However, the maximum video size is still 2 hours.

Davideo7 : Is it 6 or 8 hours? In the OP it says 8, but in your post it says 6.

earthwarrior : lol I'm so tired that I don't even remember which one I decided on. We'll go with 8 hours.

Davideo7 : Or in other words, you can have up to 4 videos with 2 hours each or 8 videos 1 hours each. 60 x 120 = 7,200 seconds per a video. 7,200x4 = 28,800 seconds per a game.

Also, just a heads up, on some external recording programs you can change the rate at which a game can playback, this could be used to drag a video out. I downloaded Hypercam and set my frame rate to what I felt was a good number but the playback was making my game move at light speed. When I lowered it, I noticed my video was longer than the time I was playing (and much slower).

I adjusted the rate at which frames are copied to 60 per a second (Considering this is pretty normal) and I adjusted the playback to 20 frames per a second which seemed like it was about proper game speed.

I think you might want to incorporate a rule on this matter as reducing the playback to a lower number (17 frames for example) may give the illusion that a player actually played the game for the amount of time shown on the video and at the proper game speed. This could cause some players to somewhat cheat the system and that would be unfair to many hard working users.

**For anyone looking for an external program to record N64, PSX or any non-mednafen emulators, Hypercam was the easiest and best option for me. I have plenty of ram to support many frames and I was playing the PSX emulator as well. My video was perfect quality and I even included the outside purple border to show it was played in Vizzed. I tried about 4 screen recorders that repeatedly failed during testing and I finally tried Hypercam. It's free and it's very easy to use. I recommend that if you have a microphone or camera, you disable it before you record. I wasted 90 mins because I didn't realize it was automatically set to record voice... Stupid Geico commercials**

This sounds fun.  I probably won't win anything since I'll be busy some days, but it'll still be fun to contribute something to the site, especially towards less popular games.

Fireproof : I'll be doing thorough investigation on anyone who makes the top 5. If I find someone changing the play speed of their videos, they'll not only be DQ'd but possibly given a temp ban.

Is Hypercam free?

Davideo7 : Hypercam is free to download at hyperonics.com or something like it but google is a better choice. Hypercam is a quick download/install and it's very easy to use and very light, at least it's always been very light for me. After further testing with the program I noticed that the game's sound can go out of sync with the gameplay. I noticed that by decreasing the Playback to a value lower than the frame rate can cause the game to run slower but it also causes the game's sounds to go out of sync. I think my Hypercam was glitched until I closed it and opened it again which may have fixed my problem. After I did this, I discovered values I need for PSX might not match values I need for SNES.

I tested this on Super Mario World and I found that by setting the Frame Rate to 50 and the Playback to 50, I was able to match the Gameplay with the sound. I also took a quick look at Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars, which I loaded with PAL (50 frames) then recorded in 50 frames and the gameplay/sound matched as well. I actually downloaded Hypercam to try it with the PSX but when I first tried it, it was horribly slow in playback and I could only match the playback speed with the gameplay speed when I set Playback to 20 and Frame Rate to 60. I'm going to further investigate this until it works then probably upload some video.

When you set the "Window" in the Hypercam program you can choose to use just the video in the emulator or you can choose to include the purple area outside the video. I can't play in any other size than the normal size thanks to limitations to directx on Windows 8 so I figured I'd share this for everyone to see.

What are the rules on all of the hacked and homebrew games?

Davideo7 : Do I have to play the game using vizzed? Could I record it on my phone if it has good quality?

I have serious troubles uploading videos, but I will try to participate in this. How long do you expect it to take to upload an hour long video on a Microsoft 7 computer? Should I split it up into segments or all at one time?

2 hour long Playstation videos seem to result in about 82GB LOL! Thank god for freemake. I finally decided to use the built in Playstation record feature instead of using Hypercam (At least for now) because Hypercam was creating an even more massive video size than the built in playstation record feature. Overall, they're still tremendous sizes but I'm so glad I have 2 TB on this computer. I also noticed that clicking off of the game while it was recording also caused some issues with Hypercam and it's best not to mess anything up if you can help it.

Also, Barathemos, I wonder if many people are attempting to upload at the same time and this may cause difficulties for everyone.
