The rays of the warm sun stroked Suki's face as the cool morning air brushed over her bedroom floor. She smiled as the sun's golden rays waltzed with the sundust, floating in the air around her. A quite and serene morning, such was the beginning of the tale of a Fan character, but perhaps it was a good Omen, an Omen, that this story would be different from most. Different, in a way that characters were actually developed, and did not steal the spotlight from Sonic and other characters.

She snuggled her pillow just a little bit more before a bird hoped through the window to greet it's tall friend. It took only a quick, uplifting glance before hopping onto her bed, looking into her face. No movement could be detected outside of small breathing and an occasional deep exhale. The little birdie, also known as a flicky, only continued to stare at her before finally breaking the silence with a soft chirping sound. No response. Another flicky who had just landed in the window would only make a small whistle, thus joining in the attempt to wake the young girl up. A small victory was granted, as in response, Suki turned over, but only to reveal that she was asleep on the other side as well. Stirring in the motions, a slight smile spreading across her face. The blue flicky in the window was accompanied by a pink one. Acknowledging his new companion, the bird hopped aside and both gave a glance at one another. The lighter blue flicky on Suki's bed flew outside, but stopped and turned to face the other two birds. Chirping quietly to let them know he was going, perhaps asking them to come with him. The pink bird snuggled up against the blue one to his delight, so much that he had forgotten to follow his wayward friend. So all three birds left, whilst Suki slept peacefully in her room.

The hedgehog stirred.

Her eyes peeled open.

(pic: http://ifreakenlovedrawing.deviantart.com/art/Suki-The-Hedgehog-438739468 )

"Huh?" She asked under her breath.

Her eyes came into focus and the blur began to disappear. She stared down the electronic clock in front of her:

6:00

"*gasp*"

She had wanted to wake up early and make some pancakes for Omycid, and had even requested her bird friends to wake her up before 6:15 so that she could do it in time.

Suki flew out of bed! She got dressed as fast as possible and rushed downstairs. She wasn't allowed to set the alarm on her clock, since that might disturb papi; the reason she had relied on her birdy friends, though cautioning them not to force wake her if her body needed sleep. After all, she couldn't afford to be tired on her big day!

"Nana," She said quitly as she walked down the stairs. "Have you started the mix?"

Suki walked around the corner into the kitchen. There was her "Auntie" Or "Nana" who had taken care of her since she was a young little girl. She had taught her to how to cook, clean, and be a lady. Something that uncle Omycid couldn't do. She saw that the flour, mixing bowl, and other essentials had already been laid out amongst the table, ready to be used to their fullest, and in a fashion that a master chef would have use. Suki's eyes met Nana's whose were birght and open in spite of her older age. She was wearing an apron and setting a large bowl on the counter. She looked at Suki with her frailing blue eyes, and was happy to have her help this morning. Suki rushed in and moved the footstool in place so that she could grab the bag of flour. Being shorter than others was a hindrance if you lived in the same house as humans, but Omycid had gotten her a special low counter to work on when she needed. It wasn't long before the flour was mixed with everything else and the yellow, golden pancakes had been made as was habitual every morning for Suki to do.

After the first two batches had been completed, uncle Omycid made his way down. He was straightening out the collar on his suit, which detonated him as an elite in the Latise. He sat down at the table and immediately pulled the jar of jam over to his plate. Smiling in slight gratitude for Suki's kindness to help his wife in this morning's early duties.

"An excellent meal Suki" He complemented the one responsible for this course.

"Thank you Omycid! But I only did part- It was Nana who was up before me and got all the stuff out!"

"Of course." Nana smiled.

"Well, either way, you are a distinguished cook." Omycid brought a napkin up to his lip and patted them in gentlemanly fashion, wiping his small grey mustache.

"This jam is more evidence of such handy work. You should have seen your mother when she first started."

"It was all burned."

"Trying to get it to cook faster by turning it up to 800 degrees, to get done before the wedding wasn't a great idea either." Omycid made a slight chuckle.

"I suppose." Nana smiled pessimistically.

*ding dong* the doorbell rang to the nice, tall house in the middle of town.

"Oh, I'll bet it's Chryssy!" Suki exclaimed.

"Hmm?" Omycid asked with a mouthful. Not speaking though, as that would be impolite- especially for an elite.

Suki jumped out of her seat and ran- walked over to the door- she couldn't run in the house if Nana was watching. But Omycid didn't mind. As Suki opened the door, her eyes were filled with enthusiasm, as she looked upon her favorite friend- Chryssy the Ocelot.

"Hi Suki!" The more bubbly friend exclaimed once the door was opened. She was in her day clothes and a purse hung across her shoulder. "Thought I'd come over a bit early so I could see your stuff!"

(pic: http://ifreakenlovedrawing.deviantart.com/art/Chryssy-The-Ocelot-457473731 )

"Oh, you mean my drawings? Sure!" Suki said.

Suki opened the door even more and turned around, beginning to trot upstairs, and leading her friend to where the gold would lie.

"This is a Character I drew for Vercoa."

"I like that series!" Chryssy said. "The episode with the refueling station was really funny!"

"Yeah! How Bark tried to get just a few fries and they kept messing up the order. I like the expression on his face after he found out that he had ordered sweet potatoes by mistake!"

"Yeah." Chryssy agreed.

"Or Acove, when He tried to escape the ship so that he could quit being a soldier and maybe sell pizzas at the cafeteria."

"It was funny when he got caught. Maybe he should vioce his thoughts OUT LOUD before escaping?" Chryssy laughed.

. . .

"Chryssy. . . do you ever wish. . . that we could just. . . escape?" Suki asked.

"Huh? Me?! Well . . . I dunno. . . sometimes. . . but not really. Once I got better at computer mechanics, and I started fixing the Gizoid glitches and helping program the AI routes for the other robots then I got some more respect. I'm sure if you just try and fit in a little bit more. . . "

Chryssy could see the depressed expression in Suki's eyes.

"Well." Suki started as she turned around and continued to pack her things into a suitcase. "As long as I'm with Nana and Papi, I'm fine, but when I go back there. . ."

". . . They tease you and stuff."

"Yeah. . ." Suki said without altering her motions one bit.

"Well, ya just gotta put up with it. Besides, what's the worst that they could do?"

. . . .

"Who knows how far they would go. . . " Suki moaned.

"You just have to move on." Chryssy said. "You can't let them get to you and steal your joy."

"Chryssy! I've tried moving on for three months! Everyone hates me! And I don't even know why?! Is it because of how I was raised?!?"

"I don't think so. . . but you are kindof well, off. . . "

"And I don't even have parents! And they hate me for being taken in by a rich man I call "Papi" and his woman, I call "Nana?!"

"Calm down Suki, please." Chryssy comforted. "I really don't want you to break out into this now, but thinking about it all-"

"Makes it worse." Suki finished, still facing the bed, and having stopped all movement. Several clothes laid out that she was moving into the suitcase. A expression of slight anger, and ambiance toward all the other stuff going on had shown fully, from 5:00 to 9:00 across that seldom plain area on our bodies otherwise known as our face.

"I don't wanna go back" She said. Her face still stuck in a half angry, half pessimistic, accepting face.

"It's okay." Chryssy walked up behind her and placed her hand on Suki's shoulder. "I. . . er. . . "

Suki's eyes tried to look behind her, but she wouldn't move her head.

". . . understand how you feel." Chryssy stated.

*sigh* Suki let out her breath. It was discontented acceptance. But she would have to deal with it like this forever? How was Omycid so calm all the time? She quickly placed the rest of her clothes into the suitcase and closed it up. She dragged the zipper along the edge sealing her fate.

It was time to go.

Suki walked out into the brisk morning sunshine. The city was bustling with all kinds of activities with both humans and Mobians. This was the Sol dimension after all, and the city that Suki was a guard to consumed half the small island. Suki knew about a small chain of islands that were actually probably part of a long peninsula at one point of time. She could hop across to a larger nearby island if she had tried. It had a jungle and some nearby ruins, but nothing too special. The city took after something like Spagonia from Sonic Unleashed, but it was centered around a high tech castle of some sort, themed on the color black, dark grey, and yellow. She used to guard there every day for 5 days a week as part of her training. Now she was fully equipped and made into a soldier- which meant she didn't have to sleep at the base/castle anymore. She could return home, as it was only 10 minute away and she didn't have to be up as late. But trips away from home still left her heart sick.

Suki tried to put a smile on her face as she walked through the town. She and Chryssy were both in their everyday clothes waltzing about. Taking in the soft, warm, and barely cool refreshing air. It was wonderful. Soon, Suki's worries slipped away. . . for a moment, as her and Chryssy stroke up another conversation.

"So, what do you think of lipstick?"

"Yuck! That can stick with humans! It doesn't do me any good!"

"I agree." Chryssy nodded her head a little. "I don't understand what people see in that stuff."

"So, do you think that they'll find it in time?"

"I don't know. . . Mikaid has been looking for it for a long time. I have no idea."

"Maybe he has it all planned out and will find the last piece right on the ceremonies eve!"

"We'll see. At least Mikaid kindof cares about me." Suki remarked. "I know that he's busy, but he does. . . act weird."

"It's cause he's eccentric." Chryssy defended, as Mikaid encouraged her to become a robot programmer.

"Yeah. . . I know. . . . but you know what we found. . . "

"Almost found. . . "

Suki looked left and right, turning around and walking backwards to the base. Paying close attention to everything around her.

"Did you see . . . ?"

"Huh?" Chryssy started walking backwards with Suki and began to take in her surroundings.

"Cyrssy, I think we're being followed." Suki whispered.

"Damit" Thought Narabot as Suki and Chryssy became more aware of his presences. It wasn't easy to gather data ever since they got better awareness training, or at least Suki did. He couldn't be near as lax anymore, and Listening on these two was a pain. Especially right when he was about to get a spill. Motionlessness helped as he eavesdropped from the nearby tree, but Suki and Chryssy began to walk backwards out of his range. His audio pickup was having a hard time focusing in on the two with all the backchatter. Great. There they go. Another lost opportunity. But another one would come eventually.

"What was that? Chryssy asked after her and Suki had gone a ways.

"I don't know. But one time I was pushed into an alley, but some guys who I think were stalking me. They wanted my money I guess, then Narabot showed up and saved me- well sorta, just cause I was in my everyday clothes didn't mean that I wasn't unequipped!"

"Wow you were lucky!"

"Nah, I could have handled it. But now I want to know what Narabot was doing there. Was he just running some errand around or something for Mikaid?"

"I dunno!" Chryssy responded. "It's all weird!" She added as they both walked up the steps alongside the stone statue that marked the front of the base and training academy. Narabot jumped down behind them and joined their little conversation.

"Hello Suki, Chryssy." Narabot greeted. Not in any upbeat fashion.

"Narabot!" Chryssy stated in surprise!

(picture: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Narobot-478670520 )

"My codename is Araniod MK I." Narabot stated in his usual pessimistic tone.

"Yeah, but Narabot sounds more friendly." Suki said with a smile.

"So be it, but 'friendly' does not make menacing."

"So." Suki began as she walked up the steps. "Have you been. . . stalking me?"

>>___ ?

"What?" Narabot asked in surprise.

"Cuase somebody has been watching us. . . and I want to know what you've been doing. . . "

>>__ dang it

"Directive." Narabot stated. " What is function, 'Stalk?' No program exists for 'Stalking' therefore, I cannot execute it."

"Hu huuuhh. . . " Suki teased. She stopped outside and turned to face her robotic companion.

"Stalk, is what you do when you like someone but you're too shy to ask em out!" Chryssy jolted in. "But a robot like you wouldn't like Suki now would you. . . " She finished.

. . . .

"What is command, 'like'?" Narabot asked in mechanical fashion. Sometimes he would do this when Suki and Chryssy would tease him. Suki remembered when Mikaid proudly displayed Narabot to a local reporter as an advanced reconnaissances and destructive robot as part of an interview. Narabot asked a load of questions about very simple words that apparently Mikaid never had the time to program in- or he didn't care.

"Like. . is. . .like when. . . ummmm." Suki stopped for a moment and looked down at the ground. "Mikaid never programmed the word like into you?" She asked surprised- but realizing that for Narabot to like something wasn't really necessary- at least from Mikaid's perspective.

"I know what like means, as in, apples, are like pears."

"Oh!" Suki looked thoughtful for a moment.

"I know, Narabot, what about when you complete a mission? How do you feel?"

"Terrible." Narabot stated.

"Terrble?!" Suki exclaimed in shock.

"My circuits need repaired, as does my armor. Often times, I need a new infared coat after coming from the Ifritt dimension. . . Do people stalk people who make them feel terrible?"

"Uh no, quite the opposite actually . . . "

"Perhaps stalk means to harm."

"No actually . . ."

"But I would not harm you. Ergo. You are confusing me."

. . . .

"Umm. . . . How do I. . . " Suki began to try to think of a way to explain it to her "big brother." Not that Narabot would care for that title, but It was kindof official at this point. As much as it was the Chryssy was her little sister. Narabot started walking forward again, as Suki and Chryssy did the same in order to keep up with him. They entered the building and continued down the hall. The conversation continued as they went.

"Perhaps stalk means like to hunt."

"Yes!" Suki exclaimed.

"But I do not even need to eat you." Narabot concluded as he walked ahead of them.

"But-" Suki stated

"HELLO SUKI. HELLO CHRYSSY. HELLO AURANOID. WELCOME TO BACK TO BASE." ID said as his interface came down in front of the three. ID, the base inteligence robot was nothing more than a screen with two hands who hung from the ceiling. He was in charge of equiping groups and special soldiers with the information that they needed. He was also, a general joy to have around too actually, always making Suki feel a little bit better, even on off days, but the true extent of this personality, and inteligence was unknown to her. It would mean more if he was actually a thinking person, and not just a simple program who treated everyone the same. But he had been uptated before. Who knows what would become of him in the future, and maybe was a real individual right now!

"Hi ID!" Suki smiled and greeted back."

"Yeah, Hi!" Chryssy chimed in.

"THANK YOU. TODAY YOU ARE GOING INTO THE IFRITT DIMENSION. I WISH YOU LUCK ON YOUR WAY TO THE EXTRACTION POINT."

"Thanks ID." Suki said as she smiled again. "Right Narabot. . .?"

Narabot waited a few seconds before responding.

"Ah yes. The Ifritt dimension. I like going there. Thank you ID."

"NO PROBLEM." ID stated as the words appeared in all caps on his interface. "I MUST GO NOW, GOOD-BYE" The robot left.

"Bye ID." Suki and Chryssy said happily at the same time.

"Hmm. . . Suki thought to herself as Narabot walked off in another direction. "Like the Ifritt Dimension. . . . .

. . . .

. . .

. . . wait a minu- NARABOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!"

"I'm busy." He said in a half mocking tone as the turned into a room and disappeared out of sight.

Suki and Chryssy made it into the locker room and got their clothes on. It wasn't long before both of them caught sight of Narabot again inside the briefing room. Suki shook her fist and gave him a mean expression causing Narabot to step back and put his hands in the air a little bit.

*Ahem* Started the instructor as all the Mobians got into lines and ID presented some holographic screening.

"As you can see today, White Ghost was able to bring us back information regarding the less than exact location of a piece to the dream crown. But getting it will be tricky. The piece is moving. That means that someone has it with them.

ID displayed a grid with a green dot marking the location of the dream crown piece moving around before finally dying away.

"With the Gizoids, we are very limited in our ability to seek out the dream crown pieces, charging them with the Phykosis Emerald allows them to sense the dream crown pieces only temporarily. But Suki, can sense it at any time."

Some of the soldiers looked at Suki. Suki just waved and smiled, blushing a little. She saw a green bird just roll his eyes as he looked back at the instructor.

"Up to this point, we hadn't sent very many mobians, or human into this forbidden place, but now it has become necessary. Whoever has the dream crown piece is hiding it from us, and it's important that we get it from them. We are not certain what lies in wait for us one we catch them. But we did obtain one picture.

ID flashes a picture of something like a shadow enchida from the Nocturnus Clan. But this enchida is made out of lava, and a lava beam is coming from it's arm and striking whoever took this picture.

"The Gizoid that took this pic sent it back via transmission before it was destroyed. We sent three more to back it up, but it's pieces we weren't able to find.

"So that's what happened." Suki could hear somebody say in the crowd. She wasn't sure who it was, maybe it was Jake the crow, a former squadmate, but she just wasn't sure.

"As you know, the Ifritt Dimension is very hot, and although your bodies can withstand the super heat fairly well, we are taking precautions. Each one of you has been granted an ice ring gathered from our last mission. You can use it to keep someone alive who gets splashed by the lava. Since the area that you will be going in had many different rock plates and caves that can be accessed at the lava sea's edge, you will need these. Keep them in you minipack until you need them."

Suki looked at the table in front of her. Was a mini pack that had been buttoned. She opened it up and pulled out a beautiful, white, blue ring that glowed. It let off a cold aura that was ideal for something like this. It would be great in the event of an emergency.

"I only have one thing to say to you all." The instructor finished. "Don't spit up into too small of groups. Stick together as much as you can, I don't want these. . . creatures to single you out and kill you as they did the gizoid. There aren't very many of them, that is why they want you to be foolish and venture on your own. Now, if everyone is ready. Let's warp!"

"Warp Time!" Suki thought as she slipped on the mini pack. Everyone poured out of the briefing room and into the warping hall. The hall was dark, lit with blue lights at the bottom, and red lights at the top. It was almost like entering a theater, but this was no show. Soon, they came into the warp room, a large room at the top of the base.

Outside the warp room, there was one large door. It opened very slowly as it retracted into the ceiling, creating many slow creaking sounds as would be expected with such heavy equipment. As the doors retracted up, an awesome sight began to peer through. A large red- and orange ring floated mysteriously above a pedestal, spinning in motion of epic fashion, beckoning the attention of those who entered save the armed human guards who were used to seeing it all the time- but even they were a bit overthrown by it's aura. It was like something could come out of the ring, and suddenly pull you into a fiery death. Not very appetizing unless you're Iblis on a diet. But still, nonetheless if you're the meal.

"Let's go." Said Jake as he lead every one forward.

"Yeah yeah." Said the green bird as he came walked up behind him.

The ring lit up and slowed it's spinning to a halt. An eminence began to beam froth from it's lifeness, as the portal began to open with in the center. It was clear, and you could see through it, but it rippled like water. . . if you touched it.

Such awesome beauty, it was done. The time of awaking from this trance was dawn.

Everyone ran.

And jumped in.

Everything went blurry, and it was like Suki was surrounded by a chaotic colors, darkness, and stars, in an epic kaleidoscope revealing the mysteries of the Universe.

Universes. . .

It was over.

And she was in.

The tunnel.

To fiery death!
The rays of the warm sun stroked Suki's face as the cool morning air brushed over her bedroom floor. She smiled as the sun's golden rays waltzed with the sundust, floating in the air around her.
