Yah im with intangible. Rpg's are a great and the best video game genre out there. There are a few others that are great like fps and adventure games. Most of my favorite games are Rpg's.

I play nearly all. Adventure, RPG, stealth and odd sim games (like Harvest Moon) tend to be my favorites. But I love some old-school 2-D platformers.  I play FPS but they are not really a favorite of mine, despite having high modern market saturation. Not so keen on sports or puzzle games - but I have a few series I like.

My favorite genre, and the one I play the most, is Platformers. I also really like RPG's, but I find myself playing Platformers more. Some of my favorite Platformers are Kirby, Sonic, Mario, and others.

I mainly enjoy games where I get to explore and go where I want, mostly when I want.  I won't play it now, but Zelda: Ocarina of Time was actually good enough for me, even though it wasn't completely sandbox and there were places to be and times to do things.  There was enough freedom in the game that it -felt- sandbox-ish.  If a game is more controlling of the players actions than that game was... I start to lose interest.  I also don't like feeling pressured to complete something in a set time if it means detriment to progress.  This is why I don't like most shooting games or fighting games.  I'm terrible at using a controller and get frustrated when  I can't even figure out how to swing the sword before I'm dead.

I like to take my time figuring things out and exploring elements of the games I play.

Racing games are alright, but not my go-to. If I had to choose between racing and fighting though, I'd certainly choose racing.
