alexanyways : You know your Vita stuff, so maybe you know a bit about this.

First off, I had the Vita for a bit over a year, but haven't had any major problems with it and just played it sometime last week. The battery had not drained completly and I plugged it in yesterday so it would be ready for my big day today. I charged it overnight for about 4-5 hours and now the Vita won't turn on at all. Did the charging kill it or something? I looked up some stuff and couldn't find anything that helped.

zanderlex : Well, I do not own a PSP Vita, but I thought I could give some feedback or a possible solution. I am thinking maybe your charger for the PSP Vita does not work or does not charge the PSP Vita even when it is plugged in because I have (not much related, but something) a computer that even though it is plugged into the wall and plugged into my computer, the charger for the computer still does not charge the computer, so maybe you are having a similar problem (I don't know). Hopefully I helped you out and you get it figured out in no time passed that way you can play an expensive piece of machinery or technology without having to buy another PSP Vita.

happiness7 : The problem is, the Vita was not dead, it still had about 20% battery left when I plugged it in. Even if it did not charge, or charged the wrong way, that doesn't explain how all the battery would drain complelty to the point where it won't turn on at all.

zanderlex : Well, I guess you never said if you turned off your system while you were charging it, so even if the battery was maybe charging it, or if the battery looked like it was charging it. I think the PSP Vita would actually drain its battery than being charged by a charger that may or may not work if the PSP Vita was on too. It may be a far-fetched idea, but you might be in one of those positions that you would have to consider all possibilities.
