I find his ultimate form a bit annoying. Atm I can survive his ultimate magic attack, but as soon as lavos does ultimate physical attack all 3 members in my party get KO'd T_T

The 1st form used to scare me cuz he'd always use destruction rain from the heavens. Once i survived that it was a race to heal all my guys up quickly before another attack but i think the design of the monster is awesome. the 2nd form never gave me too much trouble but the 3rd form was always really trippy because it took quite a while for me to figure out that the right bit was Lavos.

Well, I watched my friend PWN him easily (He kept spamming dark matter though) on the DS version. He showed me the bad ending, and I had nightmares of it for a day.

I hated his theme song, but Magus is by far my favorite theme in Chrono Trigger.Having to fight Lavos multiple times was really a pain in the back end, especially the Destruction from Above move.

I think it is a hard boss if you do not got the tricky and if you don't have much patience to level characters. Sometimes I just got tired of leveling and that makes some bosses harder than they should be

I was able to beat him with Crono alone (after 3 or 4 new game+'s) and it was pretty cool because even then he was fairly easy. I never thought he was that difficult to begin with though.
