I don't believe it was too much. It fit very well into the story and I think it gave greater depth and importance to what you are doing in the game. It evokes a strong emotional response.

Well, watching that level, I can see why some people can think this is controversial, but I honestly don't think that's a big deal if it furthers the storyline. If it contributes to the plot, to show how evil someone is and what not, I don't mind. Villains have always been cruel before. No one complained when the Joker did evil deeds that might even exceed such events like "No Russian". So why should people complain now? I don't really know...

Grand theft auto does the exact same thing, the game lets you choose the killing of pedestrians/civilians. Modern warfare 2 is the exact same way, you can choose to play the mission but you don't have to. The only reason the news is making a big deal out of this is because they are hungry for contraversy and video game violence is a jackpot for them.

I admit,I am pyscho when i say this but,i feel that the No Russian was one of the best missions as far as i got on MW2.The game so far is great,but No Russian is the darker aspect of it. It's like fable;you have a choice to stand by,or help become the epitamy of evil.This level lets your inner killer out.I dont want to describe too far into why i luv this level so much(cause i would get in truble for it),but i just say it's more based on whether if ur high in moral,dont really pay attention to the huge warning sign,or you're Jack Thompson(the anti-video game enthusiast).
