This is something I noticed with Atari 2600 screenshots. If there's any kind of movement in-game when you take a screenshot, the screenshot will come out blurry. Are there other consoles that do this? And is there a way to turn this effect off?

I'm guessing this is actually intentional since many Atari 2600 games tend to flicker, and if you didn't have any kind of "movement blur" (don't really know what to call it), taking pictures while an object is flickering would render it invisible.

Examples:

The ghosts in Pac-Man flicker a lot and appear transparent in screenshots, though I can't seem to get all four in one picture for some reason. Pac-Man also appears blurry because he was in movement during the screenshot.

Ms. Pac-Man fares better, with all four ghosts appearing in this screenshot.

Here's a case where it would be useful to turn off the blur. Grundle the Dragon was moving in this screenshot and appears blurry.

This is something that just happens with the Atari 2600, as it does with messing up the videos for the c64. This is due to how the games were made, and how hard it is to capture perfect lighting of a game. If you were to take a screenshot of the Atari 2600 and not do this, you probably wouldn't get a good screenshot. The fact that it is a little blurry is normal.

Its actually because of the resolution and refresh these systems use.

There is no real easy fix for this.
