I finally made enough of a budget to purchase the playstation emulator in hopes of playing some desired games. I have serious error and the games I play will lag and the music will be broken, the broken music is my main problem, I want to hear the awesome tunes playing. One such tune is the boss music for mega man 8. I thought the psx emu would be better then the sega saturn, so far the anime style scenes are working, but movement lags and the music lags more. The feel of the game is just not in good condition, is there a reason why besides the fact it is a new emulator type, is there a way i can fix it? I need some answers.

Well playstation emulators take a lot to run so you most likely need a pretty fast computer to play them with almost no problems at all.
 
Compare the kbs of games to see how much they will lag. That usually works to tell me if they are going to lag or not.

vanelan : I have a similar issue, and my computer is pretty fast. Then again, I bought this item just now when the PlayStation item is going for 25,000 instead of the usual 50,000.People who can afford are likely playing at the same time as I am, thus leading to server overload.

c0mf0rta61ynum6 : It shouldn't be a load issue. If it was downloading slow, I would say yes. After its downloaded though, its running from your HDD.

I would check to make sure all your drivers are up to date.

vanelan : Okay, I used Intel Driver Update Utility to download and install any drivers that might be more up-to-date. I restarted my computer, and loaded up one of the games. Unfortunately, it's still incredibly slow and the sound is still choppy.

vanelan : It's an ASUS with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @220GHz processor. I bought it specifically to play Steam games, so I can't imagine it having problems running PlayStation 1 games.

Then I would think its an issue with the games you are playing.
Some of the ISOs don't emulate properly and it causes undesired results.
